How did Pugh do on Sunday

JFIB : 9/18/2014 11:30 am
Sorry All, on vacation and haven't seen the Cardinals game yet. How did Justin Pugh do? He has struggled a bit to this point but I haven't heard anyone complain about his performance on Sunday. How did he look is pass pro and run blocking. He was un arguably our best OL last year and I'm hoping he is just finding his way with his new OL mates.
The tackles played pretty well on Sunday.

Arizona was badly depleted on the edge, so it wasn't a particularly tough test for Beatty and Pugh, while the interior line took most of the abuse.

Still, it gives Pugh something to build on as he prepares to face the Milkman, or Swatt, or MegaWatt, or whatever nickname J.J. is carrying these days.
The only lineman who stood out as being poor

was the center Walton. He seems outmatched on almost every play.
Pugh Did OK

Pass blocking better than run blocking. Lots of players, for whatever reason, decline a litle in theirr 2nd season and I'm curious if Pugh will go that route.

Knocking Walton after the 2 games is a little unfair. Thefirst game was against Suh/Fairly, both of whom were highly motivated. Last week, most of the game was against Calais. Both games were against exceptional compitiion. Same as Pugh in that his pass blocking was better than run. It'll be interesing to see Walton play against regular competition.
