Met life Stadium giveaway

Fish : 9/18/2014 11:58 am
I have been going to Giants Stadium / MetLife since I am a kid. Every year they used to give out a calendar or even a magnet after opening day. This year they gave one of those NY Giants rubber band bracelets. With all the money they make, where the heck is the calendar? The NFL is at all time highs in revenue, this dump of a stadium has 2 teams playing in it and we get rubber band bracelets? Giants Stadium had no bells and whistles and we got awesome calendars. Sucks.
They should give

that boring stadium away.
Absolutely Fish

Have been to a ton of home openers and they always give away at least a magnetic schedule(one year they gave both that and a calendar) went with my daughter Sunday and nothing. I guess the $700 a pop they get for coach's club isn't enough to cover it.

I was gonna post something very similar
IIRC the last time they gave away a calendar
Scyber : 9/18/2014 12:10 pm : link
a number of people complained that they don't use calendars anymore. My kids loved the bracelets and no one in my family would have used the calendar.
Why give them away when they can sell them for $11.50 each.
Hades07 : 9/18/2014 12:11 pm : link
of course you have to purchase a personal purchase license for $2K to gain the right to spend money on their merchandise first, but that PPL license is only a one time expense.
I went to 6 home games last year
Route 9 in LEH : 9/18/2014 12:20 pm : link
and I got a Wendy's coupon booklet and a refrigerator magnet

I got a Hakeem Nicks poster at the Redskins game in 2012, I think it was.
Yea
Fish : 9/18/2014 12:23 pm : link
I gave my son the bracelet when I got home. He said thanks Dad. Next morning found it on the floor by the couch. Have not seen it since and its not on the kids wrist. Don't even think he even attempted to put it on. At least the calendar would be on my wall right now.....but your right, they want my extra $11.50 if I want a calendar. Fuck em.
Come on...

They sent every season ticket holder account that awesome knit hat. (sarcasm - what a piece of crap that thing is)
The calenders they gave out every year for some

I may be checking out of MetLife soon as well. Nothing compares to Giants Stadium. Better watching from my couch.
I got a winter hat from them
Bubba : 9/18/2014 1:04 pm : link
in the mail the other day. If their play does not improve it will never get worn as I will stop going before it gets that cold.

THE GAMES!

They haven't given out a calendar in years
Matt in SGS : 9/18/2014 1:29 pm : link
there was an issue with the Calendar a few years back because it had duplicate dates (something like 2 May 20ths or something) and there were errors throughout it. Plus one picture of Jeff Feagles with an unforunate background that looked like the Empire State Building was giving him a prostate exam.

After that, the give aways leaving the stadium have been awful. My kids took the rubber wrist band thing from Sunday and they threw it in their pile of crazy bands and all that other cheap crap. At least give me a fridge magnet with the schedule this week after the game.
I loved the calendar and the magnet
upstatenyg : 9/18/2014 1:33 pm : link
and frankly will take anything they give me and find some use for it. I gave the bracelets to my nephews, who asked why I was giving them a ticketmaster bracelet (it says ticketmaster and nfl ticketexchange in larger print than it says Giants).

either way, if they win the friggin game, I could care less, but nothing worse than watching them give game away and then getting some POS ad for ticketmaster when you leave.

My four year old son claimed it before I got the chance to try it. Fits him pretty well.
The magnetic calendar is just a convenient thing to have
GMenLTS : 9/18/2014 1:46 pm : link
usually at work or for whatever other purpose one wants to use.

For all the money I throw into their pockets it's nice to get maybe one useful giveaway throughout the year.

God knows the luggage tags or dirt cheap silicone bracelets are so vitally important to have...

ugh
GMenLTS : 9/18/2014 1:48 pm : link
magnetic schedule and calendar

both purposeful giveaways.

Why stop those in favor of the useless crap mentioned above?
LTS
Matt in SGS : 9/18/2014 1:50 pm : link
I still have 2 of those magnet/calendar/schedule things. They are doing yeoman's work hanging up pictures, and kids tests, and other assorted crap like that on the fridge. I would like an updated one, but still want the hanging calendar for my office.
THEY Might need to resort to that gimmick

Game day Giveaway
This Sunday’s game is presented by Wendy’s, the official hamburger restaurant of the New York Giants. At each of the MetLife Stadium gates at the conclusion of the game, Wendy’s will be distributing New York Giants 2014 team photos.
like said, I was expecting a calander of some sorts
micky : 9/18/2014 2:00 pm : link

I agree. I was a season tkt holder since 1975

and gave it up in 2013. Terrible stadium.

The only thing wrong with old Giants stadium was their inability to

market food,merchandise, and high prices.
for season ticket owners
asbasb : 9/18/2014 2:42 pm : link
they have been mailing things the last two years

poster, hat, bags, shirt.

The best thing

A ha...I split the season tix with my cousin (they are in his name). I think he's been holding out on me.

Question about the Red Zone and NFL Rewind. Has there been an updated email sent about it? My cousin sent me the link when it was announced in the summer and said there would be an update before the season with the codes, and I never got that update.
Matt- codes went out
HelmetCatch : 9/18/2014 4:09 pm : link
about a week before the season.
Wow!

The world is on fire.
The country is in deep financial trouble.
Ebola is growing.
And you guys that spend big bucks to go to the home games
are complaining about the Freebies on opening Day?
If the team was good, I would be happy to sit on dirt on a hill to watch the games.
Screw the giveaways at the gate

What ingrates you guys are.........

I'll bet that wrist band cost a pretty penny. Maybe even as much as two pennies.
I was handed one as we left the stadium last Sunday, didn't really know what it was, opened it at home and then tossed it into the garbage.
This Giants' organization is really from the big spenders.
Rashad Jennings Pez Dispensors this week!
