that when the Yankees can overcome their unwillingness to play rookies the results can actually be pretty good. Mitchell and Refsnyder are two of the most exciting guys for next year on that score, but let's face it. Pirela and probably Roller should be playing now. Teix should be nursing his sore wrist and Brendan Ryan sucks.

Winning these games is pretty irrelevant. There may be some psychic benefit to finishing over .500, but either way we'll be on the outside looking in come October. Draft pick is irrelevant because we'll surrender it anyway.
