Big difference is that when Adam Silver spoke he did so initially and wasn't backtracking trying to fix his screw ups. Goodell has screwed this up from the beginning so his point of view going into this was completely different than Silver's.

However, it is not a government agency or a publicly held company. The CEO is hired by the owners. If the public doesn't like what is happening, stop watching, stop buying, stop attending.
