NFT: College football Saturday 9/20

MookGiants : 9/20/2014 5:45 pm
Michigan is a train wreck, the offensive line is awful, Gardner is awful. Hoke might as well pack his bags now. Was hoping they would scratch together some wins and be mediocre while keeping Hoke. They'll struggle to get to 7 wins at this rate even with an easy shedule

Just ridiculous how long they took a commercial break
montanagiant : 9/20/2014 10:58 pm : link
Just prior to Clemson attempting a FG...The announcers even mentioned it. it literally was 7 commercials totaling 6 mins.

Those were the days. Even college football is sanitized compared to the 80s and early 90s. I think Kosar was already drunk in Cleveland by the time the U dressed up in fatigues because there are pictures of Vinny and Jerome Brown in fatigues
This working at night shit blows
Jints in Carolina : 9/20/2014 11:07 pm : link
I slept all day and missed all the games. At least I'm off until Tuesday.

putting Winston on the sidelines for this game is ridiculous. He should have been in a box somewhere or watching from the locker room, he's suspended, not hurt
Picked off!

Clemson has it around the FSU 25 with 2:15 left

this whole Winston thing is a joke
Jints in Carolina : 9/20/2014 11:41 pm : link
he shouldn't be on the field.
Damn it
Patrick77 : 9/20/2014 11:41 pm : link
So close to beating FSU
The only thing that might save Clemson...
Dunedin81 : 9/20/2014 11:42 pm : link
is that Florida St's offense has been putrid.

Clemson has imploded twice inside the five and missed two field goals. The last FSU touchdown was huge. This game hasn't been that close. FSU is probably gonna squeak out a win though is my guess.
HUGE 4th and short here

4th and a foot for Clemson
dpinzow : 9/20/2014 11:51 pm : link
they almost have to go for it considering how their kicker's performed
Didn't get it!

Yeah, that was close enough for a QB sneak
what an awful play call

All they had to do
MookGiants : 9/20/2014 11:54 pm : link
was go hurry up and sneak it and they get the first down, instead they call timeout, let FSU catch their breath, then come up with that play call.

Complete fucking garbage. Dabo Sweeney and Clemson are the biggest chokers
FSU wins
Jints in Carolina : 9/20/2014 11:54 pm : link

jesus christ
Lol
Patrick77 : 9/20/2014 11:55 pm : link
This ending was inevitable. That 4th down play call was so bad. Can't commit that many mistakes against a team as talented as FSU.

Yeah he really is an unlikable guy..comes across way too much like a horses ass and this showing him after every play is asinine
I know Winston isnt putting himself on camera
Jints in Carolina : 9/20/2014 11:58 pm : link
but him actling like a fool after every play ain't helping.
Clemson looked liked the Giants out there..
Canton : 9/21/2014 12:05 am : link
Letting the backup QB throw for over 300 yards, along with the costly mistakes at the end, cost them the game.
theres a reason

why its known as Clemsoning.

Gordon is the best running back in the world. Better than anyone in college or the pros

I don't know, Nebraska's running back Abdullah has me convinced that he's the best in the country. He's tough to tackle. I'd take him over Gordon or Gurley.
When Nebraska
BigBlueCane : 9/21/2014 11:33 am : link
plays Michigan State and/or Wisconsin, AA will provide a more accurate example of what kind of back he is.

Playing Miami's soft and weak Temple-esque defense is not an accurate measurement.
Abdullah
Jon in NYC : 9/21/2014 11:37 am : link
is fantastic, but Gordon is other-worldly in my mind.

Between Gordon, AA, Gurley and even Duke Johnson and Yeldon...it's an amazing group of RBs this year.
Melvin Gordon
Adam XLII : 9/21/2014 11:52 am : link
is the most effortless RB i've seen in a while. He glides.

He's the anti Ahmad Bradshaw in that respect.

Miami's defense is putrid to watch. I wouldrather watch them man up and be aggressive and get beaten down just as badly than watch them play soft and conservative and still get beat up on. It's hard to tell if they have any talent or not. The scheme is shit though.
This is the end of Al Golden in Miami

the fans, have had enough. The BOT may not be willing to make a change with Donna leaving but I don't think they're gonna have a choice in the matter.
Ian Frye, the kicker for UVA...
Dunedin81 : 9/22/2014 3:45 pm : link
his father had a heart attack late in the first half. He had to go out and play the 2nd half (he kicked a 46 yarder in the 4th) after seeing his father put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital.

The group is down 1. Paul James from Rutgers is gone for the year with an ACL. Constant injury problems, but when healthy a clear NFL talent.
