McAdoo take a bow

Headhunter : 9/21/2014 5:07 pm
You do have an offense that can move the ball and it will get better with repitition and the addition of ODB. Future looks promising on offense

Don't think he will be throwing Eli

Under the bus this week.
I wonder how many HC opportunities

McAdoo will be getting in a few months.
I like
JoshB : 9/21/2014 5:21 pm : link
All the quick receiver screens, kinda like Peyton to Demayrius Thomas, but he seems to get 60 yards every time and not do a Randle and dance on the spot for 10 seconds
Feels like we have a modern offense

Makes everyone look good. Still, very encouraging.

Ask John Mara!
that one pitch

to the left out of the shotgun formation was freaking awesome.
It seems like he fixed

the overly complicated, delay of game problem. It's good to have a younger OC come in and fix this complex problem thus far.

first time in quite some time, it seemed to me that we had wide outs that were running wide open where Eli didn't have to make the perfect pass to complete it.

That part I love - was at the game today, really noticed live how the Giants hustle to get the next play ready, and Eli is at the line with 20-25 seconds left on the playclock, which gives him plenty of time to look over the defense

santacruzom : 9/21/2014 6:57 pm : link
he is getting contributions out of Larry Donnell and what-his-name at TE, something I certainly didn't anticipate. I doubt I'm alone there.
Daniel Fells
batwood06 : 9/21/2014 7:18 pm : link
Has had two scores in two games. Very effective at throwing to TEs at the edges of the field. Donnell did not lose his composure after that atrocious fumble. Robinson managed not to get anybody killed.
That

pass to Fells was on the point, really threaded the needle on that one. Perfect pass

To have big bodies on the outside.
I'm in love with our new offense!
SHO'NUFF : 9/21/2014 8:30 pm : link
On the 3rd and 4 (I think) shot to Randle when he got arm-barred for a no-call...I thought for sure they were going to settle for a shotgun handoff and be happy with a field goal...but instead, we went for the kill. Thank God for Mr. McAdoo!
the approach to TE is same as after 2010
wigs in nyc : 9/21/2014 8:38 pm : link
when Boss left. I've been saying it all offseason. I was sure we'd be paying attention to TE that offseason, they didn't, and then rode Jake Ballard and Beckum to the Superbowl.
Love this ...

offense ... and I think Eli will get better and better operating within it as the season progresses!

I also think Fells and Donnell are more than serviceable TEs. A lot better than what they had last season!!!

Fells isn't anything special

However Donnell is developing into a solid WCO TE. His blocking weakness won't be exposed as often and he's athletic enough to overwhelm some DBs in this league. Not discouraged by Donnell's fumble today because that was an excellent play by the Texans defender putting a hat squarely on the ball
Add me to the list

of people who were surprised by a lot of the calls on offense. I'm not saying I agreed with all of them, but it was really refreshing after so many years of predictability to see things changed up. Best of all, a lot of it worked! So credit to McAdoo, but as many have also said, give credit to the OLine for their work on both the run and pass.
The game we saw yesterday...

with the focus on, and the success with the running game... is exactly what Eli needs. He really cannot (for one game yes) put it all on his shoulders and pass his way to victory over 40 times. However, when the run works and the pressure is off Eli (few 3rd and long scenarios), then Eli can operate comfortably.
This was a Coughlin version of the WCO

Good times. Loved the pass calls.
