Who do you guys like better the rest of the year in a PPR league?

Patterson

Harvin

Cooks

I have too many TEs and I need a WR. I could get one or two of these players. My TEs are Julius Thomas, Gronk and Kelce. I can dump Gronk for one of Patterson or Harvin. I think I can trade a RB for Cooks as well. My WRs are Maclin, Terrance Williams and Kendall Wright. That is it. My RBs are Ball, Morris, Jennings, Joique Bell, Pierce and Ingram.

I think I am better off with Patterson since he has a cake schedule the rest of the year. I would love to get Cooks but I don't know if I can get him for unloading a guy like Morris.
I think you get Patterson and Harvin at all costs

I don't think I can get Patterson and Harvin because they are on the same team and that would deplete the other team of their WRs. He also has Calvin Johnson.

I will try though.
My team exploded today.
kmed : 9/21/2014 8:08 pm : link
It's crazy that I got ok games from brees and calvin and still exploded. Bernard is a beast. Jennings gets 90% of the touches. Cruz and mackin had big days. Loving my team right now.

I can afford to give up Gronk. This would be my starting lineup if I traded Gronk for Patterson or Harvin.

Romo/Cousins
Ball
Patterson
Maclin
Julius Thomas
Jennings
Joique/Morris/Ingram/Pierce/Kelce/Terrance Williams/Kendall Wright
I'm one player away.in PPR

I also think that offense can perform better once Bridgewater gets some starts under his belt. He looked really good in the preseason.
Every week I HAVE to start
robbieballs2003 : 9/21/2014 8:13 pm : link
either Terrance Williams or Kendall Wright along with Maclin. I like Maclin but he is inconsistent and I am worried about him lasting all year.
How about some more options
robbieballs2003 : 9/21/2014 8:19 pm : link
Garcon

Roddy White

Michael Floyd

Antonio Brown

Jeffery

Crabtree

Nelson

Patterson

Harvin
Gronk will continue to have a bigger role.

I would not trade him now when his value is for the guys you mentioned. That's just be though, maybe you don't expect gronk to return to form like I do.

I think he can return to form. However, if he gets injured my season is shot. I need to flip a player for a WR or two players for two WRs. It isn't a matter of doing it or not as it is that I am doing it but I just want to make the right decision.

an animal. I also Wouldn't cry about a guy like mccoy having a bad game or Charles getting hurt. Or AP abusing his kid(which has nothing to do with risks of drafting a rb). Never liked lacy personally and forte has been just fine.
Patterson

nygiants16 : 9/21/2014 9:18 pm : link
140 points and i still lost...guy i played had 154....i would of beat anyone else this week...oh well life of fantasy
Gronk
Rocky Thompson : 9/21/2014 9:38 pm : link

Dropped an easy 2nd TD today. Brady's off, wasn't his fault on Gronk's drop. He won't be all year.

Go get Lacy as cheap as you'll ever get him. 3 tough match ups so far, buy low. Same with Brees, get him if you can, Brees owners are likely 1-2 or 0-3 and desperate. If yer 3-0 Bree's has a favorable playoff schedule, drafting only gets you so far, plan ahead and adjust...
I am trying to trade for Jeffery
robbieballs2003 : 9/21/2014 9:40 pm : link
The other owner is loaded at WR and only has Ebron. This works out for both of us. I am close to a trade of Morris for Antonio Brown. If I can complete both of these trades my team would look like this:

Romo
Cousins

Ball
Jennings
Joique
Pierce
Ingram

Jeffery
Brown
Maclin
Terrance Williams
Kendall Wright

Julius Thomas
Kelce

I think that is a really nice team. I need to play waivers and get another RB though.

I am going to lose because the Pitt kicker is on pace to kick 6 FGs. Didnt help he had Foles/Maclin when I had the fucking cheap ass bastard going for 22 yards on 20 carries.
The only Gronk stat that I care about....
kmed : 9/21/2014 10:09 pm : link
Rob Gronkowski (knee) played on 42-of-73 snaps in Sunday's Week 3 win over the Raiders.
It's 57.5 percent, up from the 43.1 percent Gronkowski had played through the first two weeks. Remember that Gronk wasn't a full-time player last season until five games after coming back from forearm surgery. If anyone is selling, we're buying Gronk as he rounds into form.

He's def a guy I'm targetting in a trade. I'll try to grab him now before he blows up.
Agreed
Rocky Thompson : 9/21/2014 10:22 pm : link

I made Gronk my 3rd rd pick in every league. Ray Rice hurt, Welker hasn't helped yet, Belichick screwing with us on Vereen? Maybe the shoulder? Bree's underachieving. Thank God for Niles Paul and Bobby Rainey. Got to hold on until players start producing...
Still think Patterson

These past 3 weeks. He's been getting vultured some, but boy does he look good.

The Steelers should really involve Bell in the passing game more, and I'm not just saying that because I own him (Yes I am).

So far I've been dead wrong about Shane Vereen. Conspiracy Alert : Vereen is in a contract year and Belichick the GM is trying to diminish his value by having Belichick the coach giving him less snaps.

Sanders has been an absolute stud for me.
I never ever trust NE backs. Same with NO backs.

AnotherGiantsFan : 9/22/2014 11:38 am : link
Is saying that I took Demarco Murray completely off my radar in the draft. It was never because I doubted his talent, but doubting his health. If he was available to me in the 2nd, passing over him would have been one of the easier decisions for me in the draft. He's making me look pretty silly right now.

Someone in my league went bold and took Murray/Julio back to back. Paying off big time. Lets see if that holds up.
So far, my team is beasting.

Calvin in rd 1 looks good.
Brees has been somewhat disappointing in rd 2, but I'm not too concerned.
Bernard in rd 3 was a steal.
Cruz in rd 4 was ok. I expect him to continue to get better.
Jennings in rd 5 was a steal.
Vernon Davis in rd 6 wasn't a great pick.
Maclin in rd 7 was an awesome pick.

Montee Ball has to be the most underwhelming high draft pick RBs in the entire league. So glad I stayed away from him.

Rocky Thompson : 9/22/2014 1:19 pm : link

I saved you from trading Calvin Johnson last week, you're welcome.

I told you Roddy White was a bigger injury risk than Reggie Wayne and you told me that was ridiculous because Roddy played 13 games last year even though 8 of them were as a decoy. Roddy's missed one game already.

I told you Peyton Manning, not Drew Bree's, Aaron Rodgers or Matthew Stafford was still the best fantasy QB.

I followed your advice on Shane Vereeni being a PPR monster because Stphan Ridley might not even make the 53 man roster and now Ridley is the feature back and Vereen is practically invisible.

You were right about Gio, even though Jeremy Hill is still a great bargain as a 9th rd pick but you haven't been right about much else.

Ya know, Fanduel allows head to head match ups weekly, why don't you drag your smelly and obnoxious self over to Fanduel and I'll kick yer ass for money this week?

Let's just go through all this garbage...

1. I would never take your advice about anything. I was offered Graham and VJax for Calvin. So far, Graham has outplayed Calvin in weeks 2 and 3. I chose not to weaken my WR's because my TE's are good.

2. White missing 1 week doesn't make you right, but I'll let you hold onto something.

3. You nailed Peyton. How could nobody else see that Peyton was the #1 fantasy QB. Great call by you.

4. I wouldn't touch a NE back because I never know who is the man week to week. Been saying it in every thread. That being said, there's def room for Vereen in PPR leagues. I'm glad I don't have him though.

5. Bernard is a top 3 RB right now. I don't expect that to change. You said he was terrible value in rd 2 and 3. You said Hill was the man to get in that backfield.

6. I'm trying to think of sometyhing you were right about and I can't think of anything. Help me out, besides when you claim that you said Peyton was the best fantasy QB which everyone already knew. Yes or no, you are in last place or close to it?
I'll need to start Rainey or Sankey this week
UConn4523 : 9/22/2014 1:31 pm : link
will wait until Doug Martin reports but I assume he's playing. Greene will still get the carries in Tennessee, but I can see that starting to fade, especially after Sankey's 6 YPC this weekend.

Was getting blown out because of McCoy doing nothing and starting Brady over Cousins (not doing that anymore). Thankfully Antonio Brown and Kelvin Banjamin has big games for me.
Tough call,
kmed : 9/22/2014 1:32 pm : link
I wouldn't touch either of those guys. There's no better options? I can see Sankey's role increasing, but to the point of fantasy relevancy? I have always thought Doug Martin would be getting another shot to keep his job and Rainey's game last week only solidified that.

UConn4523 : 9/22/2014 1:34 pm : link
Ridley may not make the final 53 and then he did make the final 53; if you weren't paying attention that's your fault.

Granted I'm in the Vereen camp, but that whole offense is a mess (Brady owner). There is zero explosion and they need Dobson back in the worst way to stretch the field.

Blaming people for your fantasy mistakes is the definition of pathetic.

Nope, no better options. With Ingram injured I have no choice.

I'm fine with it since my entire league (everyone elses too) is banged up, just need to weather the storm.

poor play, and suspensions have killed me in one league, AP, Montee Ball, and Ben Tate (didn't think he'd be out this long) seemed like a decent trio at RB.

AP may never play again, Tate is about as predictable as Odell beckham, and Ball had some rough matchups to start the year.

Ohh 100%. But my strategy is much like yours and picking #1 overall doesn't mesh well with it. I was trying to trade it but no one wanted it. Really wanted back to back WR's and was forced into a RB early. I basically have to hope McCoy turns his season around.

It also sucks starting the season #12 on waivers. You lose out on every major injury waiver claim.

Agree on injuries and Terance West. Martin wiped out my team, had him and his backup. TE Davis is injured, along with my backup TE (the guy from Washington). I have Petterson on my team in the hopes that he somehow gets playing time later on this year.

I'm at 1-2, struggling to find a RB.

Sorry, was talkign to pj the closet Pats fan who was pimping Pats players for weeks.

I hate the Pats more than the other NFC East teams. It's almost a reverse psychology for me, if I have Patriots players on my team I don't mind losing if they do poorly. It's irrational.

I only have Gronk, Vereen, and their D and only Gronk and their D are on the same team. Vereen is on a different team in a ppr league where he's been benched.

I thought he'd be better, and their D too, they should be better.

What sucks about it the most is they're 2 - 1 and by December will be firing on all cylinders and cruise into the AFC Championship game again. They were gifted a win yesterday on a bogus hold on a McFadden late TD that could have tied the game.
I think Brady will get better as gronk
kmed : 9/22/2014 1:56 pm : link
starts to play more. Brady's production ties very closely to Gronk being on the field.
First time, long time

I have been lurking this site since late 2007, finally signed up. Glad to be posting.

I'm in a 2 QB league and have the first waiver: Both Glennon and Bridgewater are free agents (the only starters that are FA's)

My qbs are Ryan, Tannehill, and Fitzpatrick. Should I use my first waiver on one of the 2 qbs?
you may want to grab that QB
YAJ2112 : 9/22/2014 2:00 pm : link
apparently Philbin hasn't ruled out replacing Tannehill with Moore for next game.
I'd say Bridgewater is a good gamble.
kmed : 9/22/2014 2:01 pm : link
Only because of the unknown. We know the rest of those guys suck.
Thanks guys
HeftyLefty : 9/22/2014 2:03 pm : link
Do you like Pitt defense also this week or Miami? I have Cinci on bye, and need to scoop one
I don't love either defense,
kmed : 9/22/2014 2:05 pm : link
but Pitt at home vs Tampa is a good matchup. That being said, they aren't very good(despite yesterday's effort).
Nor do I
HeftyLefty : 9/22/2014 2:09 pm : link
but I have to fill in for Cinci who is on bye, and is my go-to defense week in and out. Have all three of my leagues still undetermined heading into tonight. On pins and needles here.
Good luck buddy.
kmed : 9/22/2014 2:10 pm : link
Cincy's def is legit!

Ive always been a week to week defense guy, but it's getting annoying(and expensive) to pick up a new defense every week. I have KC right now, but I think I'll pick up Detroit and roll with those 2 for the rest of the seaosn.
Lol

3. You nailed Peyton. How could nobody else see that Peyton was the #1 fantasy QB. Great call by you.
Also, you probably got that Vereen PPR monster nonsense from me
AnotherGiantsFan : 9/22/2014 2:20 pm : link
I practically brought up Vereen being the tits on every single fantasy thread.

I still have faith.
Kyle Rudolph

out 6 weeks with groin surgery. YAY!

Not that he was doing well, but i get to fill the void him and Reed have left me.
Anyone pick up the other Wash
kmed : 9/22/2014 2:29 pm : link
TE?
yup
UConn4523 : 9/22/2014 2:33 pm : link
best of what's left is Cook for the most part. I'm OK with that on he weeks Reed doesn't play I guess.
I had the 2nd pick and took
dep026 : 9/22/2014 2:33 pm : link
McCoy in every league I am in. So far he is rushing at less than 60 YPG, isnt a threat in the passing game, and has 1 TD.

I hate taking RBs in round 1. The top 5 havent been anything (due to injuries and suspensions) while Murray, Bernard, and Lynchy have been great. Give me the stud WRs any day of the week. Wish I drafted 10th instead of 2nd.

But I have a chance to be 3-0 (due to playing the low man 2 out of 3 weeks). The only thing I finally did right was wait on a QB. I took Ryan and Rivers in round 7 and 9. Used Ryan in weeks 1/3. Rivers in week 2.
if Glass-Reed
UConn4523 : 9/22/2014 2:34 pm : link
can just play I think i'll be fine. He can absolutely tear it up with a legit passer now.
He got picked up on the waivers for me last week
AnotherGiantsFan : 9/22/2014 2:34 pm : link
I'm just going to be playing Larry Donnell consistently.

As a heads up, Ladarius Green had a lot more snaps Sunday than he did the previous two weeks. Just something to look out for.
yeah
UConn4523 : 9/22/2014 2:35 pm : link
for as decimated as my team is I can go 2-1 if Jeffrey outscores Forte by atleast .75 points. I'm thinking that won't happen since he's still a bit injured, but if the rush can get shut down I have a chance.

Yeah, I may roll the dice on him. Cook and Green are available right now.
I haven't seen Green's snap count,
kmed : 9/22/2014 2:38 pm : link
what was it this week? Did he play in 2 TE sets? Did he come in for Gates? Did he play in the slot?
You're encouraged by this???
kmed : 9/22/2014 2:40 pm : link
Ladarius Green played on 23-of-69 snaps (33.3 percent) in Sunday's win at Buffalo.
Green did set season-highs with four catches and 64 yards on six targets. He also encouragingly saw two red-zone targets. However, his snap count was essentially the same as it was in the first two weeks while Antonio Gates was up at 65.2 percent of the snaps again. Green will be a boom or bust fantasy play in Week 4 against a Jaguars team that is as bad as the Cardinals at defending the tight end. His lack of snaps and consistent role in the pass game keeps his weekly floor incredibly low. Sep 22 - 11:53 AM
The game was on at the same time as the Giants
AnotherGiantsFan : 9/22/2014 2:43 pm : link
So I didn't get to see it, but from Yahoo :

Quote:
Green saw two red-zone targets, and drew a pass interference penalty in the end zone. Green appeared to play more snaps in the second half than Antonio Gates, and played a big role in two of the Chargers' four scoring drives.
Its so tempting with Gates being old
UConn4523 : 9/22/2014 2:46 pm : link
he doesn't look it, but he's almost guaranteed to get injured. If that happens Green's value would be awesome.

That said, I'll likely go for Cook this week and see what happens.
Agreed.
kmed : 9/22/2014 2:47 pm : link
Same with Hyde/Gore.
Green had 2 targets in the first 2 games combined
AnotherGiantsFan : 9/22/2014 2:48 pm : link
And then received 6 targets in the 3rd game alone. I'm not saying to plug him in as a starter next week, but he's a guy to keep tabs on. He should get more of a workload as the season goes on.
haha
UConn4523 : 9/22/2014 2:49 pm : link
i feel like such a dick waiting for injuries. Hyde can be absolute gold.

A lot of my problems go away should Sankey take the lead. He looks on the verge of it.
I gave up on Sankey
kmed : 9/22/2014 2:51 pm : link
last week. Needed the roster spot. I have Hyde on my bench too, but I just can't get rid of him for the reason you stated. He's a RB1, probably top end RB1, if Gore goes down.

I probably should have let go of Forsett because he will never be anything more than a change of pace guy.
Gates only received 1 target this Sunday by the way
AnotherGiantsFan : 9/22/2014 2:51 pm : link
.
Sankey has too much promise and is getting touches
UConn4523 : 9/22/2014 2:54 pm : link
he's now getting a higher YPC with more touches. Its only a matter of time. I think he's going to be the sure first starter by week 6 at the latest unless he throws up some duds.
Sure kmed
Rocky Thompson : 9/22/2014 3:06 pm : link

I'll play in a BBI league with you but let's make it a 16 team league with at least 5 Individual D players.

Gates has been hurt
Rocky Thompson : 9/22/2014 3:44 pm : link

He's nursing a hammy, played through it against Seattle. Maybe didn't want to risk it in iffy weather at Buffalo?

Until otherwise posted Gates is still a top TE play against Jax...
