I think the Giants got lucky on 3 big plays against Houston.
1. Andre Johnson makes a spectacular catch for a huge gain, but it is called back for a procedure penalty.
2. Fitzpatrick scrambles for an apparent first down. Kiwaunuka is down, so an injury stoppage occurs. During that television time out, the coaches in the press box signal to coach Coughlin to challenge the spot. I don't believe they would have got that information to the side lines in time without the injury time out. And after winning the challenge and forcing a punt, DaMontre Moore blocks the punt.
3. On a 3rd down in the red zone, one of Eli's passes is blocked by J.J. Watt. Luckily, it falls harmlessly among several defensive players.
I do believe the Giants on the whole played well, but those plays if they had gone the other way could have led to a different outcome. Instead of celebrating, we would be rueing all the points not scored in the first period.
There is so much wrong with this post. And, we can play this they got lucky stuff all night...
Or fumbled inside the 5 as they were going in for a score. But that's neither here nor there. This guy is an assclown
with Miles Austin losing the ball in the lights.
With the Kyle Williams miscues.
The OP is right. We should give our Lombardis to the Patriots - the rightful owners.

Don't forget Welker should have made that catch. Stupid luck.
BTW, it was Hopkins who had the long catch on the penalty.
Andre Johnson was pretty much shutdown today.
- Were the Texans not lucky a terrible snap sunk a relatively makeable FG attempt?
For instance, a pass by Eli hits a foot but somehow gets intercepted.
I'm sure all of you thought that pass that was deflected was going to be intercepted as it hung in the air.
As for the challenge on the spot, I still maintain that if it were not for Kiwaunuka being down and apparently injured, they never get the time to see the error and get the information to the sidelines.
Thanks for the correction on who made the catch that did not count because of a penalty.
And I did say they played well. Still sometimes you need the breaks especially after the combination of giving the game away the week before and leaving several points on the field in the first quarter due to poor plays.
I've known him for a long time and he's a good man. He's just pointing out a few areas where chance did happen to play a role.
That's not earth shattering. Chance usually plays a part in every game.
I'll take good breaks and good play - all year long baby!!
Go Giants!!!

Thank you coach.
For so long the breaks have seemed to go against the Giants that it seemed nice to get a few.
And that bad snap on the early field goal try was a good break for Houston. It was not a bad break for the Giants: it was a total fuckup.

Obviously a post from Jeff's sock acount
Yeah, what a troll! Pointing out very reasonable points that don't totally jive with the "Giants are an unstoppable force" narrative!
Fucky tool.
A win is a win and in the end it doesn't matter how a team got there as long as it is a win in the books.
