Fake punt screw-up

I hope you're wrong since TC said the guy had to contribute more on ST. Wouldn't bode well for his chances at WR.

I actually said "watch the punt fake" just before the play. Don't know why, but it happened.

Met-Life Stadium, December 2010 vs Philly...I, along with thousands of people in the stadium, and millions of viewers watching at home...we all actually said "watch out for the onside kick" before the play. Don't know why, but it actually happened.

Like last year vs Green Bay, he had his usual expression of "huh they are allowed to do that!?!?!?!?!

is that the coaching staff should have recognized that down and distance, position on the field and where in the game it was as a higher probability scenario for a fake punt. In that situation, you should not have had 2 rookies guarding the edge but rather 2 vets and they should have been warned to look for it. That where the coaching fell short in my opinion.

We had two players who were playing off the line on the outside. They were not rushing. I presume it was their responsibility to look for players leaking out into the flat. They seemed more concerned with their blocking responsibilities and did not react until the ball was caught. Either one could have stopped the play easily if they were alert. I did not DVD so I don't know who they were. It was not the fault of anyone who was rushing.
