we couldn't believe how perfect that throw was. Eli put it in the only spot that Fells could grab it. Seeing the replays now, it is really even more impressive. Very tight window with the corner in coverage that he had to loft it over. Well executed all around. Fells turning into a nice red zone target
i thought you were going to talk about the hopkins catch Â
I like the way Fells didn't act like it was a big deal and quietly celebrated with his teammates as he walked off the field. I can't stand the BEAT MY CHEST mentality of so many in the game these days.
Perfect throw, great catch. Jennings picked up Cushing to give Eli time to make the throw. Even love how Fells didn't go nuts in the endzone and just dropped the ball.
Offensive execution is definitely improving over the past couple of games. Short week need a big showing in DC!
That play works because he picks up the rushing LB on the left side...I also watched the replay of Cruz TD and he picked up the blitz on the right side...I noticed a few other plays where he has done this...thats what made Jacobs and Bradshaw so good, Jennings is filling the void in more ways than one.

but when coaches talk execution this is what they mean. The throw and the catch is what most see, but consider all the other moving parts and blocks and you get the idea.
After seeing McAdoo call for three fade routes in a row on the 1 yard line its warming to see the play calling a little more real world and aggresive at that.
He looked to his left as he dropped back, never looked to his right or over the middle, and simply waited a split second to make certain that Fells had the inside track on the linebacker as he crossed the goal line. The look of satisfaction on Eli's face after the play was either due to the fact that he called the play at the line of scrimmage, or else, having called it in the huddle, he was nonetheless impressed with Fells' ability get inside the linebacker and be where the ball would be thrown by design, the way it was practiced. Not only are Fells and Donnell more athletic than Myers (whom I never liked), they are also much bigger and able to overwhelm not only safeties, but even linebackers. If their play continues, Robinson will be little used, if at all.
Great result and great play by 10 of the 11 Giants on the field. The 11th (J.D. Walton) did not perform. The only threat on the right side of the line was Watt, who was being double-teamed by Pugh and Jerry. Yet the right side had all of Walton's attention, leaving Richburg to (effectively) disrupt two rushing D-linemen and requiring Jennings to pick up the one that (understandably) got past Richburg. Not the reaction and understanding you're looking for from your center...
RE: Eli apparently intended to throw it to Fells from the get-go Â

If we make a run this year, it will be Robinson who is a "key" factor. Why? Because he is a nobody with speed and teams won't know what to do to defend him deep down the seem. I really believe he'll be used more as the season goes and he'll be a weapon much like Cruz was in our 2011 run. We shall see.
then I thought, wow Tyree got bigger,
then I thought, wow he actually caught that pass, who was that?
Along with Tyree, it was good to see Corey Webster giving Eli some extra time.

I think that's one of the more underrated things that he's missed since Jacobs left after '11 - having a bully in the backfield to pick up the blitz.
Eli put a good touch on that ball as well getting it over the top of the extra corner/safety but where only Fells could catch it.
