Is the game broadcast with a delay?

Do the announcers have real time info?

Yesterday, 4 or 5 instances where seconds before a ball was snap, the annoucers said something. I was at the game, but then watched the DVR when I got home.

1 - when talking about the Giants field goal try, stressed it was their first of the year, and then mentioned how even though DeOssie is reliable, things happen. Then they bad snap.

2 - Before first INT, right when Fitz was snap the ball, they said the Giants D hasn't forced a turnover, then the INT.

3 - Before the fake punt, same deal, 2 seconds before the ball was snapped, they commented on Houston RB Blue being in.

4 - Before Cruz and his first bug catch, they mentioned he hadn't done anything, and then they were like there it is.

And the list goes on.

Is it luck? DO they just keep saying stuff, and somethings are right? Are they that talented at reading plays?

or

Do they have a delay, 4 or 5 seconds, and get fed info from the game in their ear or something.
They are announcing in real time

The broadcast is on a delay I believe. You can tell if you put on the radio announcers.

they're at the stadium, so why would they be fed real time info when they could just see it? I don't know the answer to your question, but I highly doubt they do this.
just seemed to eerie

maybe the delay is a few seconds, just enough to make a call like that? it was always just before the ball was snapped.

anyway, maybe just decent announcing. just thought it was a strange.

happens all the time

"Giants have been a juggernaut on defense today, not allowing a single third down conversion"

BOOM. 93 yard bomb for a TD.
the only thing in real time is over the air radio

in my experience. All TV has a varying delay. It always used to drive me crazy when I lived in a high rise apartment building with DirectTV, which has a much bigger delay than cable, because I'd sometimes hear my neighbor screaming 10 seconds before I saw what happened.

Haha that's great!
I have cable and the downstairs TV was a few second ahead of

the upstairs TV. I hear the kids cheering in the basement and had to wait to see the big play.
The announcers are "live" as they call the action.

The broadcast itself may be a few seconds delayed, but the only person who knows the plays ahead of time is Tom Quinn.
You can't get that job

and just before the Cruz TD, I go on BBI and people are shouting "Cruz!"

And then before the snap, my CBS Sports app would pop up a message that the Giants had a 6-0 lead.
