He was on the practice squad, not the roster or a reserve list. Usually, when a player is dropped from the PS, the transaction notice says his contract was terminated. Practice squad players are already free to sign with any team, so the waiver process isn't necessary when they are released. Did that change when the new PS rules kicked in?

It's always sad to see a guy's dream die. As injuries pile up around the League, maybe Asper will get another chance.

Asper was terminated, not waived. Doesn't really matter. Either way, he's going home.

Pleased. Maybe he has something the Giants like. I hope he actually does have whatever that is.
