but the IP alone will get it viewers. If Smallville get get 10 seasons there is no reason to think this show won't squeeze out a bunch.
It's particularly trying for anyone who spent any time reading the comics over the years. The continual reimaging and rebranding drives me nuts. I think it is really lazy writing.
The ratings are in for the FOX’s Batman-less “Gotham” series premiere, and it looks like the Caped Crusader wasn’t needed after all. According to The Futon Critic, the inaugural hour-long episode took in nearly 8 million viewers and a 3.2 rating among adults 18-49, a strong turnout for a show branded on Batman’s rogues gallery of villains and a pint-sized Bruce Wayne.
That turnout was no doubt aided by stellar reviews, with a 95% critical consensus on Rotten Tomatoes and an 88% audience approval.
it seemed like the most anticipated show of the season, so good numbers for night one is not a surprise. Let's see if they keep up. I enjoyed it. Gordon's personality though didn't seem to jibe very much with the way he comes across later on.
Lots of potential. Sure it was a bit cheesy. But it can grow. I'll give it a while. Still pissed they cancelled Almost Human which was pretty enjoyable.
I thought it was okay, but nothing special. I can't believe it's got an 8.5 rating at imdb.com, though. That seems ridiculously high to me. Looks like VinR put his whole family and all of his friends on the payroll.
Cheese. So much cheese.
It's written for kids - meaning anyone under 40.

One nitpick I have is.. Sarah Essen seems a bit old

I agree, they introduced damn near every character.
Too early to tell with him. . Obviously they have Cat Woman, the Penguin, and Scarecrow already.
Riddler not Scarcrow JOrthman. Got them mixed up.
