in the talk radio call in shows today callers were complaining about all the problems we all thought the Giants would have this year:
- quarterback doesn't perform well when pressured
- the quarterback is immobile
- why didn't the FO address the OL problems in the off season?
- why are their undrafted free agents on the OL?
- the OL is a mess.
- Brady's best days are behind him.
seems like the Pats OL problems are worse than the Giants. at least judging from this weekend's games.
put me in the camp of the Giant's turning it around, the OL is just starting to gel and we have the horses to compete for a playoff spot. it hurts that we lost the Cards game, but it's a long season.
they're paying for it now. That said they have an easy early schedule and as a result are 2 - 1.
Funny thing is, when the Boston media talks about Eli, he is no good.....they haven't seen the OL and weapons he's had the last two years......same thing happens to Brady, but he is the golden boy....but for the first time, many are questioning, if the skills are starting to erode....
based on the Raiders game it could be a long year for him.
They are dumb.
I am glad to see this. Sometimes I feel that many here think the Giants are the only ones with problems. Look around the league, lots of teams are struggling, even the Saints, Pats, Steelers, 49ers, and Packers.
The Pats have 16M in dead money, thanks mainly to the Hernandez and Mankins contracts....yet, they managed to come up with 12M for Revis(who was targetted 6 times for 5 receptions, against a rookie qb)....AND, they are sitting on almost 10M in cap space.....
Instead, they let Welker go, signed Amendola who is not a WR, he is a slot receiver.....Edelman, who is the slot receiver, I don't think will last the season with the hits he is taking, ala Welker....they signed Lafell, on the cheap, and he hasn't worked out thus far.....
When you look at what Welker was making, in the last year of his contract, and what the Pats gave the likes of Ocho, Amendola, and Lafell, it's more than they were paying Welker....is it any wonder he jumped at that 9M franchise tag, and wouldn't renegotiate a lower contract extension.....the way little Bill is running the franchise, that carrot, he hangs in front of prospective vets to sign at a lower contract price, with the chance of a championship ring, no longer has that same value....
You cannot or should not evaluate a Belichick team in September. Around Thanksgiving he says you know what you have for a team.
Fans in Boston are no different than fans here on BBI, they overreact to a lose or a win.
