Couple of corrections:

Cousins was a 4th round pick. and a typo when you said that "427 passing yards last week versus Philadelphia were more than Griffin has every thrown for"
42-0

prediction Eric (smart). I had to hold the remote when Giants where on offense the entire game. Whatever it takes :)

you know you have to keep that up all year now...

Also, same with LordZedd's posts.
Jason Hatcher, not Hatch

Having flashbacks of Jeff Hatch at LT.
One thing about the Skins fron 7
GMANinDC : 9/24/2014 4:56 pm : link
They had 10 sacks against Jax and none against Philly or Houston..Philly played with a completely new OL because of injuries and ejections and the Skins still didn't get a sack off of Foles..

If the Giants continue with the short, quick passing and no-huddle, it would neutralize Kerrigan and Orakpo..

I think the DL is going to to give their OL fits..The running game with Morris has not been as dynamic as last year because they lost Montgomery and the right side has been porous. Trent Williams is the best guy on that line..

This is going to be a low scoring game for the Skins..I can't see them putting up more than 20 points..
The think what the Skins have going for them is Cousins
BillT : 9/24/2014 5:10 pm : link
As a QB I think he's an upgrade from RG III and they have receiving talent. Our secondary is much better than Philly's and our DL is really coming on. However, a guy who can throw to guys who can get open and catch is a tough combination in the 2014 version of the NFL.
Really?

Best job this year, by far. Agree, almost 100% with you Connor. Eric, if you want to back up your prediction with $, will take all you want to put. Text is good, but as an older dog, I lie here dozing and dreaming of the past. These 4'ins are without the proven folks at key positions, have some more serious injuries, no real QB, but some real scats at RB and WR. We can damp that and pressure their QB, and our CBs and secondary will damp the pass. Morris can't be stopped cold, but will be controlled (a la Watt). Garcon will prove to be just a boy and the Iggles import will meet his match in the G-Men secondary. The 4s have no answer to our Dike and dutch boy defense, our go to the ball secondary, our balanced running and passing attack, and, if needed, our clutch QB. Eric, love your sense of humor, sad you were wrong in week one and two, glad you were wrong in three, and hope your losing streak holds up, at least for this week.
good preview, especially for a short week. As for S. Brown:
Victor in CT : 9/25/2014 8:03 am : link
Connor writes: "When Brown had his most success, he was allowed to play the ‘Kenny Phillips’ role. Sit back 15-20 yards from the line of scrimmage, watch the quarterbacks eyes and stop anything that goes deep down the field. Brown could be removed as an everyday starter and used in that position instead."

This is all Brown can be. He is not an every down player.

Nice witticism on your prediction Eric.
Go Giants !!

we're starting to see that hybrid West Coast Offense with the power running game. GB doesnt use those power schemes up front. Cool stuff - liking McAdoo and Tom's vision.

you've got it backwards: stevie's problem is he gets caught looking into the backfield/reading QBs eyes instead of reading his keys and paying attention to what the receivers are doing. in other words, he is constantly looking for the INT instead of doing his job
he's been playing the

k.p. role since he's been here and he isn't very good at it

That is what he is good at. Free lancing ball hawk. He is a role player. He is not a starter. Put him in obvious passing downs and let him roam to the ball.
agreed
area junc : 9/25/2014 9:37 am : link
like him buzzing if we have to use him. but his overall athleticism is lacking.

i think wed all agree he could not afford to lose a step. not everybody comes back gangbusters from ACL. and he's still only a year out. but u dont see coughlin bench a veteran too often: the coaches clearly do not like what they see and it must've been a repeated pattern
one thing we can't do is start chasing points....
Simms11 : 9/25/2014 9:59 am : link
Can't allow other teams to get up 7 or 14 early. We tend to press and make mistakes when we are chasing points.
Think
AcidTest : 9/25/2014 10:27 am : link
we win. We're simply a better team. Keys will be protecting Eli and getting to Cousins. As others have said, the Redskins got all ten of their sacks against Jacksonville. Orakpo is overrated. They are also very beat up in the secondary. We do need to get to Cousins. He has some dangerous receivers. We can't let him get away like we did with Fitzpatrick.

Giants 24-16.
Could we actually be becoming bullish on our TE and OLine?
UberAlias : 9/25/2014 11:07 am : link
Is that even possible?
Looks like Washigton can score

Tough game. We're a lot better now but don't think the outcome will be favorable.Hope I'm wrong.

Stop Morris, or at least slow him down.

DLine

Could b a tough matchup for WAS OL tonite, 3 of their 5 starters r banged up. And the Giants DL was firing on all cylinders last week.
Have not seen that since the stretch run of 11

vs back-up LG
Absolutely need a big game from D-Line tonight
Jimmy Googs : 9/25/2014 1:15 pm : link
get some penetration and hands on Morris before he finds space to cut up in their blocking schemes.

Morris is a patient runner and he torched us 2 years ago in both games. Last year with Beason, the Giants did a good job controlling him.

Hopefully our LBs don't get too exposed tonight...
I completely agree that the experience of an offensive line
Reese's Pieces : 9/25/2014 6:02 pm : link
as a unit is more important than individual talent. A lesson from the '86 Giants. But I thought that the time the line spent together was measured in at least months, not weeks.

If Jerry Reese has really put together a line that can already play against all but the elite teams, then come home Jerry, all is forgiven.
What's the weather situation?
GeneInCal : 9/25/2014 6:05 pm : link
Rain or no?
does anyone
Bleedin Blue : 9/25/2014 6:19 pm : link
Think the rain will hep our passing game. I was thinking FedEx has natural turf been raining hard, so the slow footing will slow down their rush, giving Eli time in the pocket. Then I can say what do I know! Just looking for positives!
