Devon Kennard get a shot at MLB as soon as possible. he could be our future not a stop gap vet who can have a a recurring injury take him out at any time.
Love the story, but he is horrible. Repeatedly running around with no idea. That was the weak link last night. Fortunately he can be replaced if EITHER Kennard or Beason get healthy. Paysinger has really fallen off if he doesn't play ahead of Herz.
I do think McClain's been better at MIKE than WILL because he's been an ILB in the past, MIKE probably feels more instinctive to him than playing in space on the edge.
I can somewhat understand he may have lost some of his physical skills, but Herzlich seems to be making mental / read errors (e.g. turning the wrong way for RBs out of the backfield, yielding long passes out of the backfield).
I agree he has been brutal with the first team defense. I would think Paysinger would be a better choice if Beason and / or Kennard are not available.
One of the main reasons Beason was traded to the giants is that he couldn't play outside.
