Has been running hard and I think he's going turn out to be a great signing. Must improve his pass catching though! "We knew this when we drafted him" I think we have thrown to him 3 times so far this year and he has caught it once.. Both times he didn't catch the ball Eli put it right in his stone hands... I saw how frustrated he was yesterday with dropping the pass but I'm confidant we will get this aspect of his game improved... Giants Pride!!!
This fits him to a tee...
I'm just glad Williams stopped the spin shit in the backfield. He is getting better every week.
Me thinks you too hard on a rookie that we know was going to take time to learn how to catch the ball out of the backfield.
I like Williams, but I just think right now Hillis is the more complete running back.
Williams looked MUCH better last night, for anyone that was paying attention. Can we show a bit of patience just one time on this site? You guys are unbelievable

Yes, you are the only one.

He is insurance on the bench in case Jennings gets hurt. Williams is the future. He's the #2 and still would be if Jennings went down. People get way to spastic over the depth chart.IMHO

Even baseball, I played 3rd because I could react quickly and get the ball in my glove and then where it needed to be.
Catching seems so easy at any level...I just don't understand why some professional athletes can't do it.
Yup
"he had 2 hands on the football last night in traffic."
Actually, I was impressed how he was holding it "high and tight" last night much more than 2 handed as in the previous 3 games.
He seemed a lot looser to me last night.
Give the guy a few games. Why not talk about Williams trucking a Redskin DB in the 4th. A hit that got the crowd to groan.
That's more important.
Ever stop to think that this meant that the vast majority of players on your team COULDN'T react quickly and get the ball in their glove? So that the fact that you could do it DIDN'T make it a universal skill that all good athletes are expected to have?
Get a guy to throw and catch 100 balls a night going to his left and his right and learn. It's that simple and that hard all in one.
If anyway else knows a better solution lets have it.
However, it was his block on Ryan Kerrigan that allowed Eli to run in for a touchdown last Thursday, and that showed me something. He's a punishing runner with deceptive speed, and if he becomes a dependable pass-protector I can forgive his lack of pass-catching skill.
