Jennings morning interview

This morning he was interviewed on some new show called "That other pregame show" on CBS sports channel.

He is very well spoken and comes across as a real natural leader on the team.

A few high points:

Loves being a Giant "had to overcome a lot of giants to be a Giant"

Thought he was going to stay in Oakland and was told they would match any offer. Views them not as "instead of Oakland letting me walk, God lead me to the Giants"

Coughlin is a great leader and commands a room when he enters it. Players will all follow him.

Eli is a great guy and has gotten close as they locker next to each other. Describes Eli as a student of the game. "First guy in, last guy to leave"

Impressed with Donnell "he can play" a star type of player.

Very confident in the OL (of course what else would he say), and it just takes time but knew in preseason they would gel and do well.

Not taking anything for granted "it is only two games" but confident about the team moving forward.

He try's to motivate his teammates by reminding them why they want to play well rather than that they should play well. "If a player wants to play well for a kid with cancer he should use that"

He was on for two segments it was a long interview he did a great job.

He seems like a good player

We all have to wait until year's end on Jennings. He's 30 and has never rushed more than 163 attempts in a season. He already has half of that...

So far, solid signing by Reese.

Not just as a player, but as a person. He's articulate and well spoken in interviews, and seems pretty rad on social media. I'm down with Rashad!

I think he's got at least a few more good years left in his legs. I saw him giving a pre-game speech to his teammates and he clearly is a leader.

As I came in the dealership the Mgr asked if I was a Giant fan. I said of course and he said Rashad Jennings is right over there. I went up to him and said Rashad it's a pleasure to watch you play. We shook hands and thanked me and I could see that he actually was moved by the comment. Very nice guy , classy

Jennings is a really good dude.

Not even sure what his thoughts were. Was it sincere? Was it sarcasm? If the latter, I wouldn't be so quick to label it a thought; it sounds more like a reflex.

It was a sincere thought. To each his own, I was just suprised my comment was singled out. Probably like you were suprised someone actually singled out Jenning's comment about God. I just thought it was a weird thing to single out considering this is a football thread and although it was part of the interview, really was the least relevant and interesting thing about it. Especially considering that your tone seemed somewhat sarcastic (because its not really "refreshing" since we hear about it all the time and is generally mocked).

But like you said, to each his own.
