Not only did Geno Smith lose today, but the Jets crowd booed the quarterback and chanted "We want Vick" as the Lions won. Smith, who completed 17 of 33 passes with a touchdown and two turnovers, wasn't happy after the game, and chose to respond to a Jets fan with a "fuck you." A nearby camera from WLNY caught Smith's comments on video.
Geno Smith curses out Jets Fans. - (

They cover up our SB trophies, which should tell you everything you need to know about the mentality of that franchise. I'd wish the plague on them if I wasn't afraid it'd spread.
If it were me, I'd leave them the Lombardis out on display and remind the players that we had some catching up to do.
Fuck the Jets.
Yeah, but usually only through the play on the field not in direct verbal address.
Its like it makes them feel better about themselves that they are telling an NFL player he sucks..
Vick will get hurt the first game he starts.
Rex is gonna go bye-bye at the end of this year ! That whole organization is comical and needs to start over from GM on down.
Ripping into Rex for his defense.
Imagine if the Jets had Eli? With their O line and D they would be competitive no doubt about it.
That is what a franchise QB gives you, that is why Giant fans are so lucky.
This is why the Jets are the Jets. When they signed Michael Vick, they knew this was a possibility. Just like they knew it was a possibility that fans would turn on Sanchez when they signed Tebow. They are a circus of a franchise. They never seem to have a real plan on offense.
I know Decker, Kerley and Johnson on the team, I don't know who else is on that squad.

If we take out of the equation what fans we're talking about, Eli's half of 2004 was worse than the first year and 4 games Geno Smith has had
Ripping into Rex for his defense.
It was pretty lame by Beningo standards.

Immature. Smith needs to grow up.
I just looked @ the Jets upcoming schedule: @ SD, vs. Denver, @ New England.
Ouch.
This. They are looking at starting off 1-6. Couldn't happen to a better franchise and fan base.
What are you talking about? I do not get why people hate the Jets so much. And their "fanbase" is almost the exact same as the Giants...New Yorkers. Prob more LI'ers and maybe skewed younger but still largely New Yorkers.
For all the talk of the "little Brother inferiority complex" posts like Matt's are what look insecure.
The fan booed and he deserved it. Geno should just STFU.
Now Eli would have said something like .. Whew, after that performance they could have done a lot worse to me deservedly ...
Geno's making the Jet fans yearn for the good old Sanchez days ...
2. Idiotic in that they actually think Vick is still a good NFL QB
Only thing missing is the picture of a meathead.
Some of these former players turned media darlings with the holier than thou attitude make me laugh. Flash back to their playing days you get the real them IMO.
Yet comments like Matt's suggest they're the Eagles.
The game where the trophies were covered up was a Jets home game. They share a stadium so the reality is they get 8 games a year where it's their turf just like the Giants get 8. I never saw the problem. They do it for all their home games.
Rex is a loudmouth but he's not Buddy Ryan for God's sake. He and the Jets mean absolutely nothing to the Gmen outside of once every 5 years or so. I just don't get the level of the hate for them. They're a shit AFC team. It's like rabidly hating the Dolphins.
You think Jacobs went after Ryan when we beat them In 2011.. An as for covering up our Super Bowl logo the giant players were furious over it..

So, after the Giants routed the Jets 29-14 in the "Fight Before Christmas", Diehl, kicker Lawrence Tynes and long-snapper Zak DeOssie emerged from the locker room to push the curtains aside.
"This is Giants Stadium!" Diehl yelled as he headed back inside to join his teammates. "This is Giants Stadium!"
"Before the game we said fine, let them hang them up," Diehl said. "But after the game -- after we took care of business -- we wanted to show them that this is an organization with pride and we exposed them."
Before the game, Tynes and running back Brandon Jacobs attempted to remove the curtains, but a Jets official moved them right back into place. A security guard was put into place to prevent any further tampering.
The Jets were allowed to control the displays because they were the home team. MetLife Stadium -- formerly known as New Meadowlands Stadium -- is co-owned by both teams. Giants co-owner John Mara saw the curtains and said the Giants don't do the same to the Jets when it's a Giants' home game. The Jets have those curtains up at every home game because it's the players' entrance.
"They do that all the time," Mara said. "You have to ask them about that. We don't cover theirs."
"I won't mention what I thought," coach Tom Coughlin said when asked about it.
Giants defensive captain Justin Tuck said: "The fact of the matter is, I have a Super Bowl ring."
All week long both teams had been doing a lot of yapping. Coach Rex Ryan said the Jets were the "better" team in town. But when push came to shove, the Giants proved him wrong and came away the victors in "The Battle of New York."
"We let our play do the talking," Diehl said.
After the game, Ryan said: "They were the better team today, and they're the better team this year. Clearly, I was wrong."
No, the funniest part of this is Overseer telling people how they should feel about the Jets.
Guess how many have started for the Giants?
You won't be able to because you're full of crap. I said "I just don't get the level of the hate for them."
You're entitled to your opinion, you're just not entitled to treat it like it's fact. If you don't get it, fine by me, but it doesn't make you any more right than all of those of us who dislike those turds.
In my opinion, the degree of hatred toward the Jets by some Giants fans is excessive and petty and I don't understand it.
Again, just my opinion. Not telling anyone else how to feel.
Vick is better. Why the jets brought in a vet backup only to leave him benched while the starter struggles I have no clue.
Rex is going down with geno's ship. He's a fool just like his old man. At the very least he should start geno and bring in Vick second half. But I'd bet that Rex doesn't want to "lose geno"' or he's being stubborn or his hands are tied and the gm wants geno playing.
Whatever. Fuck that organization. If they ever won a title their fans would make life miserable for NYG fans in this area. The media coverage all but begged for the jets to take the spotlight from NYG. Fuck em.
I can't walk for ten minutes with NYG gear on without a jet fan talking shit. Lately it's been quiet but 2009-2010 they were awful chatty.

Their fan base has been humbled, and more importantly, so has their head coach... the attitude of their fans seems to have disappeared with the bravado of their head coach. Rex's behavior has been much more tolerable over the last 18 months than it had been. The fans have been much more tolerable with their team sucking it up.
Woody Johnson is still very petty and his jealous of the Giants is so sad and transparent that I love it when the Jets lose.
I definitely root against the Jets still but not nearly as much as I used to.
They're not all clueless...there are some Jets fans who are bringing up Vick's awful post-2010 stats, which are barely better than Geno Smith's with the benefit of far superior skill position players (Shady, DJax, Maclin, even Celek)
