He's 37 without a strong receiving corps. That's not a knock on Brady, that's a knock on Bellichick for not giving him any weapons. What was the point of Brady ever taking a pay cut?
those kind of routes and down and distance situstions
Underscore how important it is to have size at the river position. Bowe able to shield and box out Revis is everything on that play. You can't have a bunch of midgets running around in those situations.
But Edelman is a fine replacement in the slot. What they really need is outside WR talent and for Gronk to get healthy. The OL certainly hasn't helped either.
They're just a mess right now and this is a HUGE 2nd half for the Pats because they play Cincy next week and that could be even uglier for this offense. They need to get something going on offense tonight or else there's going to be a ton of "are the Pats done?" talk after a prime time Cincy game.
he thinks he doesn't need skill position players because Brady is so good, so where is he putting all his resources? Its not like the Pats have a single dynamite unit.

And didn't they trade a starting offensive lineman for a draft pick a week before the opener?
Started with the Ray Rice appeal. And then talked about how Jovan Belcher (the Chief who killed himself after killing his girlfriend) had a brain scan that revealed signs of CTE.
The off the field nonsense by players like Rice is one thing, but the head injury issue is the real ? when it comes to the long term sustainability of the NFL. The fact that Belcher likely had CTE is just scary. And talking about those two issues before any football talk was just depressing imo.

Just sayin, ya know...
Are you referring to me, Hey dickwad, I am playing against Gronk in my fantasy league and have a small lead. Holy fuck dude, not everything is about you.
Going into this week there were 427 picks made, 71 remained after Sunday and 14 people picked the Pats. Was rooting for the Chiefs big time, this is awesome.
I picked the Chiefs figuring everyone else would pick the Pats. One other guy picked the Chiefs so I needed the total points tiebreaker. Just locked it up. $500 to me. Chaaaaaaaa Ching!!!!!!!!!
Abdullah is a practicing muslim though, he might try and fight it and say he did it out of religious beliefs. I think he actually took a year off from football to make the hajj.

Michael Stahan made that prediction. look it up. we've gone over this before. why would an offensive player predict the offense would only score 17? then strahan came on ESPN and said, yeah, i predicted 17, but they only scored 14. look it up, you're memory is off kilter :) look it up

IIRC this is correct. Strahan was asked for a score prediction.

you dont know what you're talking about. y would an offensive player defy the pats great o to only score 17? it was all over ESPN the week of the SB. doh
Do you need the entire board to tell you are mistaken before you acquiesce or are one of those dudes that will stand firmly behind your beliefs even when they are 100% incorrect.

Part of me hopes this is true because there's something twisted inside of me that wants to watch Roger Goodell mired in another controversy, handle it unwell, then squirm his way out of it. Nothing against Goodell, it's just me.
This stunner came less than a week after Burress created a stir by predicting the Giants would end the Patriots' run at perfection after 18 straight wins.
His forecast was 23-17, and it got Brady's attention and drew his ire.
Quote:
"We're only going to score 17 points?" Brady chuckled at the thought the Giants could shut down an offense that scored 589 points and got a record 50 TD passes from his MVP arm.
"Okay. Is Plax playing defense? I wish he had said 45-42 and gave us a little credit for scoring more points."
Here's Tom Brady's response to the prediction. Notice after laughing Brady asks, "Is Plax playing defense?" It was plax who made the 23-17 prediction after a reporter asked for a prediction. Can't find that clip. During the interview (or another interview) Plax also makes fun of T.O.'s crying, "That's mah Quarterback, *sniffle*" by singing "Cry Me a River."
Later in the above clip, you will see Strahan's in-game prediction "17-14 fellas...Believe it and it will happen," during his pep talk to the o-line.
Pats offensive line is a mess right now. Solder, who is their best lineman, got benched last night.
Brady didn't look too good, though again I attribute that to a horrific OL and absolutely no weapons. Julius Edelman? Come on.
They're probably still the favorites to win the division, if only because the other teams suck even more. But they look like a 9-7 division winner than a 14-2, 13-3 juggernaut people had them in the summer.

7-9 could win the division. Orton might be good enough for that. maybe that's all they're going for.
New England is going to win at least 10 and they're going to get their issues sorted
dp, not so sure this year. Normally I'd agree..Don't know what's going on with Brady, but I don't know if he's averaging even 6 YPA..Don't think that's ever been close to happening the first 4 games of any season he's been the starter..
They could easily be 0-3...I think this is the first year the AFC East is there for the taking since Brady's first SB
It's our only guaranteed win if we meet in the Super Bowl.
Long live The Giant Snatch...
Was because he was an Eagle. Man gave his life to football, lost a kid, can't be human and not feel something for him...
He cheats better than the rest of them do.
His only flaw is thinking Bon Jovi is worth listening to...
Was because he was an Eagle. Man gave his life to football, lost a kid, can't be human and not feel something for him...
Precisely. I always felt he handled his impending exit from Philly with as much grace as possible.
And then he wasn't
How'd he get up?
With the camera?
Vereen?
Help me out a little bit?
He is uninterested [\bbi]
That they haven't used...

Brady will adjust, a quick 3 TD lead for KC would force his hand though...
Smith is grossly underrated.
On the sidelines.
Let's get it done Tom, your legacy is at stake here...
Holy shit.
Brady's got nothing to work with on offense. What's left of Gronk nation and the garbage at WR wouldn't even make the Broncos' roster.
Mind...blown.

what happened?
I am the eggman, koo, koo ka ju!
BTW i picked up Eli and was so tempted to start him, but no! Road team QB on a thursday night. heresy!
I mean recently, Bledsoe was 20 years ago
Would Eli do better in the NE offense?
Will Jax kill everyone on the character list except Gemma?
These things are bothering me...
And didn't they trade a starting offensive lineman for a draft pick a week before the opener?

Pats look like shit.
How is Justin anyway?
So I can get some garbage time pts outta Vereen and Gronk.
Kharma catching up to Belichick?
But his receivers are worse.

A lot of this is all Brady. He had plenty of time for the interception.

Sorry, can't resist
They will win it at 8-8 at this rate.

I saw a few people take the Redskin D this week.
Your decision seems worse.
Ever since the "Plax said we're only going to score 17? Uh, ok" thing, he has been my most despised athlete in all of sport.
So freaking ridiculous.
Seriously. WTF is that all about!

i will never understand why this is such a big deal to Giants fans.
They had the best offense of all time at that point, and just went through the regular season undefeated...of course he felt the way he did.
Plax was kind of the bigger tool for making the prediction in the first place (though I love it as a Giants fan).
I mean, seriously? Tebow? That's absurd.

Unbelievable penalty. That's a disaster.
Always loved the nature shows...
Yes. This part is the thing here, to be precise.

It was the QB!
IIRC this is correct. Strahan was asked for a score prediction.
I'm referring to the entire league, not the Giants.
How many games around the league so far have been great games? Hell, have there been many good games?
This is completely wrong. It was 100% Plax.

Not to get too technical, but they did draft Jerod Mayo #10 overall not too long ago.
