one of the best in the business if his coaching and mentorship (and that includes the sainted Sean Taylor) had been better when he was first drafted. He was as good a safety as I've seen coming out of college.
And took more false steps in run support than any S I can remember. He was simply fast enough in college to be sloppy and make it up for it, he tried the same things in the NFL and people were faster and studied harder.
He's the most physically gifted I've ever seen out of college, but outside of the gym, he's crap.

But that's what I mean. He had serious shortcomings, but his "mentor" in Taylor was a guy who never bothered to learn the finer points of the position (they were together very briefly so blaming Taylor for too much of it is unreasonable), and the Skins had a coaching carousel for the few years of his career.
He looked like an elite WR for a couple of years in Arizona.. one of those years he was one of the best WR's in football and was a fucking monster. Landry was never on that level.

This is true Arc. I just thought it was hilarious to see Boston bloom out to outrageous weights. He had so much muscle he couldn't move. More egregious than Barry Bonds' gigantic dome.
lol - amazing he went this long without being caught Â
His arms look like they are as big as elephant legs. The guy is more concerned with bodybuilding or how he looks IMO than football. The guy in the past has cut a normal tee shirt up to the bottom of his chest and cut tassles into it, then worn it at Redskins training camp... I remember once an announcer (forget who) saying on air that Landry has told people he lifts everyday, even gameday.
You have to think at some point that amount of muscle starts to put too much stress on his joints, ligaments, tendons, etc... or even affects his range of motion. Do you think he can touch his arms together above his head? lol

Aaron Maybin was a huge obvious juicer, but he went off of it when he came into the NFL and flamed out early.

Then Hillis does the same ….

I do recall Jacobs, though. Very special memory

Landry is a Colt.. hasn't played for the Jets since 2012.
Was probably juicing then too, though.
