It may be a little early for us fans to consider this (but we can probably rest assured that it's not too early for the front office). Thanks to BMac for the link.
once you subtract Wilson contract. projected 14o mil. If you restructure Eli or extend with him easily another 10 mil. Real easy to sign JPP, Prince and Rolle. Will have to tender Donnell. Numbers from OVer the cap.

With some pretty good accounting, such as making the first years of Prince's and JPP's deals moderate, but all guaranteed, we can fit a certain defensive tackle from Detroit who wants to play in NY
should be relatively easy signing....Larry should be a restricted FA...Walter coming off injury and the other two are more valuable to us but not really big names.
So,
JPP and Antrel are going to be curious issues.
I love Rolle but at what price...for how long....
JPP is probably more valued in open market...then he is to us. I feel he needs to do more to deserve a big $$$$$ signing
Would be good to have JPP, but I won't consider him a "must" unless he goes back to 2011 form, which despite having a good season so far, he's nowhere close.
He's still young, but he's already had back problems, would that be a problem down the road?
and looks to be in condition, but is it a salary drive? And he really hasn't developed any technique. It would be a loss, but a big $$ contract could turn out to be an albatross if he gets lazy. Rolle is getting up there age wise, but is still playing at a high level. Maybe a front loaded deal? See ya to J. Williams and Paysinger.
Did you ever think that Larry Donnell would look like a "must keep" player at this point in the season?
are the only ones on that list worth going after......but at his age, you are not offering Rolle 7M per, and JPP has to show he can play a whole season before he becomes part of your future plans......
On the open market, Rolle will not get that kind of money, but JPP may get a big offer if he lasts the season and plays well....
I don't trust JPP a to stay in shape once he's paid
Assuming he's in their plans long-term, the Giants hold all the cards in negotiations. It makes a very big difference that he was on the practice squad in 2012 rather then the 53-main roster. Imagine if Cruz had spent 2010 on the PS instead of IR. Unfortunately, his very public preseason coming-out party against the Jets pretty much ruled that out.
Jacquian Williams is the Giants' linebacker of the future... and seems likely to remain exactly that, until he leaves.
Kiwi is due $7.5 million next year which he's not getting. Either he gets a reduced slary again or cut outright which would save nearly $5 million. That will help come free agency.
sjnyfan: Just to be clear, $7.45MM is Kiwanuka's 2015 cap number...
to give the Giants a hometown discount should they resign him. I get the sense that Rolle loves being here and would want to retire as a Giants. I can see them coming to terms at around $6 mil/year, which I think would be reasonable.
hynoski and wiliams should be easy enough/cheap enough to resign. jpp is a must you dont find starting pass rushers like him easily and when you do its way more
prince is the priority in the secondry, top 5-8 CB you dont risk losing that, rolle is a good player but his price and age mean it must be for the right cap price
isnt donnell 2 years into a 4 year deal so 2016? restricted FA?
the rest would bother me much maybe and thats a big maybe for jerrnigan
Williams to me is not a priority at all..
Rolle and Thurmond possibly.. but need cap friendly deals..

Of that list only Rolle is a must with JPP being a close second.
Of course it all comes down to money though and NYG will stick to their script in dealing with it.
