I can't stand that commercial every time it comes on. I wouldn't want any family members that were fans of 8 different teams collectively. And Eagles fans mixed in there? Barf.
I jokingly told my wife that those parents should be embarrassed to have raised such bandwagon children. My wife then assured me that we don't have to worry since my daughter barely likes football now and probably won't as an adult...then I was sad...:(
Only in my house there is no dissension allowed. My kids are Giants fans, born and raised. If they want to eat and live under my roof they will stay that way. :-)
In good conscience I can't force my kids to become Giants fans
My entire family is Redskins fans and they didn't force me to be one and I can't thank them enough. I just have to hope that my kids are smart enough to decide to be Giants fans on their own.
My in-laws are all Eagles fans. We don't normally watch games together, so not too big of an issue. Just some friendly trash talking during the holidays.
I'd prefer my children to grow up and be Giants fans, but if they chose to cheer for another team that is their choice. I don't see it as that big of a deal. I guess I'm a bit different them most here b/c I wasn't that big of a football fan growing up. I was a defacto giants fan b/c my dad was and he took me to games, but I really didn't follow the team much when I was younger. I don't even remember the 86 and 90 superbowls despite being born in 78. It really wasn't till College that I started following the NFL in earnest. I stuck with the Giants, but I could see how someone in my position that was a casual fan until later in life would start following another team.
photo of them in Vikings Uniforms. It is likely Photoshopped and it looks awful. Families didn't wear uniforms en masse back then. The previous two generations of my ancestry were entirely NY Football Giants fans. In my case being a fan of the team involves honor and family traditions in addition to the teams entire history of success and achievement. the bandwagon spirit of the add repulses me......
The best part to me of being a Giants fan is talking to my dad leading up to and throughout the game. I feel bad for people who don't root for the same team as their families and always find it strange when people go out of their root against their families team of chose.
caught a cold, his dad tried to explain to him what a virus is. He told him they were bad, nasty things that make you sick and no one likes them. My grandson responded ... "Like the Cowboys?"

I chose my wife (who has gladly converted to a casual Giants fan). Didn't chose my in-laws.
My son is a Giants fan.
My Grandson who is 8 days old is 2 and 0, as a Giants fan!
In my house there is only Blue. Or white with Red letters!

Mom came from a smaller family...but they too are all Giants fans.
I agree with him.
If you raise them right ......
