I would have otherwise sat next to the wife while she watched (againa!) the season finale of the Outlander. She knows the Giants take precedence though so I thank you for saving me from the agony of a viewing of the Outlander.
I enjoyed the show.
But seriously, 5 minutes into a 30 minute show, they have to have 3 minutes of commercials?

How Wellington was doing a lot of the scouting in the old days. He started with college football magazines and had players he liked underlined, according to Accorsi. Two I noticed underlined were Charlie Conerly and Tom Landry.
Accorsi and George Young, while working for the Colts, hated the Cowboys (everybody did) but their draft system was the best, they were the first to computerize rankings. etc. They stole their ideas, and brought them to the Giants.
I like the way they bring the scouts in for training camp, for lots of reasons. Very important for the scouts to feel a part of the team, which they really are. Also, great for the scouts to get a look at the team, just for their different perspective on the current team, and also for the scouts to know what the Giants have, and what they need, and how any new players could be slotted in to the Giant team.
do scouts have an offseason? seems like from training camp to college spring ball they're traveling. I ask because family wise it must be tough. Coaches spend a tremendous amount of time at their job but atleast they go home and sleep in their bed (assuming they live close). From what I can tell, scouts are on the road 80% of the year.
but I have to believe that the Giants are doing this so that they don't have to open up Giants training camp to "Hard Knocks" which they have often stated they do not wish to do.

Tough life. I don't know how they do it. I travel constantly but it is usually at the same place/hotel for the week. These guys go from hotel to school to highway to hotel to school...every day.
