@ebenezersamuel: Osi Umenyiora says he "had alot of very good relationships" in Giants locker room and he does miss that.
@ConorTOrr: Osi says Jerry Reese keeps bringing in the right guys. Wonder if he'll be appearing on #FindingGiants?
@art_stapleton: Osi on Eli: "He's throwing that ball really fast, I see that. ... Seems like he has full command of that new offense." #NYG
@ConorTOrr: Osi on sacking Eli: "Eli's my brother, man. I'm not necessarily looking forward to it." #nyg
@ebenezersamuel: Osi on Beatty: "Now he looks at the schedule and he sees me on it, and all of a sudden he's an All-Pro left tackle."
@Patricia_Traina: Osi on Beatty: "Lst year I left and his performance slipped off. This yer he sees me on the schedule and he steps up."
@TomRock_Newsday: Osi on JPP being a mentor and a leader: "That is pretty funny. But he's the guy now."
@ebenezersamuel: Osi says he's not looking at this game that "oh, I'm trying to get revenge on them."
@ebenezersamuel: Osi on the Falcons: "We're just very inconsistent...we have to find a way to be more consistent in our play."
@Patricia_Traina: Osi says Falcons need to stop the run. Gee, that sounds familiar.
@ebenezersamuel: Osi on the Falcons D: "First and foremost, we have to stop the run...three of the four weeks, we haven't done a very good job at all."
@ebenezersamuel: Osi on his role in Atlanta: "I'm gonna leave that one alone, move on to the next question." Says it with a laugh.
@ebenezersamuel: Osi: "Right now, I come in on third downs, I'm a pass-rush specialist. That's the main difference...I don't have any complaints."
@Patricia_Traina: Osi on his role: "Do I feel like I could be helping more? Yes, but I'm going to do what they tell me to do."
@Patricia_Traina: Osi said he disliked some of the things he did when he was young while he was here.
@Patricia_Traina: But he said he has "zero regrets" and left NY with having a great relationship with everyone.
@Patricia_Traina: Osi sid he'd like to play as long as possible, but at the same time he doesn't want to jump from team to team if it comes to that.
@Patricia_Traina: When asked if he'd like to finish his career here he said, "I can't think that far ahead."
@Patricia_Traina: Does he wish he was still here? "That's a question I can't really answer. I did what was best for me + Giants did what was best for them."
@TomRock_Newsday: Osi: "I left there on good terms so I don't see why it should be a bad reception (from the fans)."
@Patricia_Traina: Osi on if he looks forward to seeing his former teammates, coaches and team staff: "Absolutely."
@ebenezersamuel: Umenyiora says he still talks to Justin Tuck "at least once a week." Says he wouldn't wish Raider situation on him: "Not on anybody man."
@TomRock_Newsday: Osi on Tuck: "A player has to do what's best for his family but sometimes that puts you in a bad situation."
Sounds like he's not happy about being a pass rush specialist in Atlanta either.
what did Prince say?
I mean, imagine you're a Falcons fan. Wouldn't some of those quotes bother you?
I could see hard feelings after his poor effort in 2009, but he matured after that.
There will be a few idiots, but overall, the man brought us championships and sacks. I'd cheer if I were there.
Outside of the contract drama every summer, Osi was a great Giant. Say what you want about Plax in '08, but if Osi was healthy, that defense probably doesn't wear down as bad as it did and we win the Super Bowl.

Yeah there's a lot of guys who seem to really miss their time with the Giants after they leave - Jacobs being the biggest. Their new organizations probably don't like it either when they wax poetic about how great the Giants organization is
Was he talking about the contract issues or things he said or what?
This made me look at all-time sack leaders. Strahan and LT are only members of top 10 to spend entire career with one team. I liked that
I have so many great memories of Osi as a player. He was demon-fast, master of sack/strip/fumble. No defensive players used to wear #72 as far as I can remember. Now you see it on some good players.
In fact, I'm clapping for him (with one hand) now as I type this.
Well see what happens with JPP.
Yay, he gave a couple of good-great plays once in a while, and was lackluster for the most part for a lot of his time with the Giants. he fucked up plays almost as often as he kicked ass. And wanted oodles and oodles of money to be a part time player that's why he's no longer a Giant.
Surprisingly close to "comical"...
But his 37 career forced fumbles were probably more impressive than his sacks. Thirty two with the Giants plus two in the playoffs, including the strip sack of Rodgers in the 2011 Division Playoff that Aikman, I think it was, kept saying had saved the Giants from a easy Rodgers TD throw.
Every enemy QB, although he couldn't see Osi's progress, had to be aware that Osi might be on him in another second and had to adjust the clock in his head to account for that possibility.

I like Osi, but I can see why a Giants fan would be lukewarm towards him too. The guy spent 75% of his time here bitching about his contract, and the rest of the time when he wasn't he was injured.
Excellent player, but one of the reasons he's not held in higher regard was because he spent almost as much time talking as he did playing.
The bitching was only the icing on the cake.
