NFT: The Bridge FX Season Finale

I know there was some discussion last year of the show. None this year, I bet many gave up after season 1. I think Season 2 has been better than 1. The Eleanor Nacht character is superb. She puts you on the edge every scene, you never know what the hell is going to happen next. This season has been much more focused and has come together in a much more organized fashion. Even Sonya has improved in that her character while still quirky and stiff , is no longer so overwhelmed in her lack of social skills so that it is painful to watch. Yea that whole story arc with her and her sister's killer's brother was some creepy stuff. Did not predict the Robles-creepy sounding good samaritan dude ending the way it did at all. Very into seeing how it wraps up tonight. Is there a season 3? If so is Fausto a goner? Or does he wiggle out somehow. Does Eleanor step in if there is a season 3 and become the Cartel Queen? I think they really developed Marco a lot better this year.
People may disagree, but I think this series developed this year sort of like the series in the 70's developed when I was growing up. Rather than opening on an unsustainable high and slowly falling off season by season it has built on a solid 1st season and really found it's niche this year and has a lot of potential going forward. Unfortunately ratings wise I don't know if we'll see a season 3.

I also think this season is better. Eleanor is a great character. I was suprised whith the guy who talks really weird.I'm also loving the male reporter( Forgot his name). I like how he quit.

they deceloped him beyond some partying junkie/writer that he was. He's still like that but at least he developed a little bit with his partner. They really took her to the next level this season.

Too! I absolutely agree that this season is better. I was upset that the Samaritan was taken out just like that! I wanted to see him succeed. Lots of blood that's for sure!! Curious to see how it ends, do they leave us hanging for another season or is this the end.

I agree it had the feel of a series ender last night, especially with the last scene fade-out. If you remember the finale last year, right at the end they said stay tuned for season 2. No such thing last night. Frankly after such a great season I was real disappointed in the finale. No good twists or turns, just predictable tie up all the loose ends stuff. Its a shame if it doesn't come back. I think it had the potential to be on the level of the Wire. Just guess they couldn't get the ratings. Oh and I'm all about suspending reality with these shows, but how many people can get shot point blank in 2 weeks and survive? come on.

was incorporating the Spanish speaking scenes. Gave the characters like Fausto/Marco a real sense of authenticity.

My thoughts exactly! when they found the Samaritan in the truck, and he was still alive, I couldn't believe it! like you said I think this is the end. I enjoyed it, I have to say that FX has been turning out some good shows!

was said to be on the run. That could be the subject of a third season, but not sure if the storyline would carry through the whole season. Then again, they could use Fausto character to embroil both the US and Mexican gov'ts in a corruption scandal.

Also when Sonya was at a loss of what the hell to do with Eleanor Nacht, Marco said something like "I have some ideas, let me take care of it." That can be an angle. Eleanor being interrogated and spewing her psychobabble can be a good set-up for a season.
