Beckham said he practiced fully, ran full speed, and even caught a deep pass for a TD late in practice. "It was a great feeling," he said.
I have a feeling he might get more burn than people expect on Sunday. This is not Gilbrides offense anymore. I think he can make an impact sooner than later if he's 100%

Coughlin said he is absolutely in the gameplan for Sunday...made it sound if he gets through these practices that he will play and thrown into the fire..

Preston Parker has been pretty good and reliable, and IMO, a step up from Jernigan. As much as I'd like to see OBJ, I'm wondering if they'll have one or two plays for him, or will he be the third WR?

If he plays Odell everyone will say he's just doing what he should do but if he plays Odell and he reinjures the hammy, no doubt many here anxious to see Beckham play will fault TC for playing him too soon. I hope I'm wrong about this and I hope he stays healthy for the rest of his career.
I still would like to see a little more of Washington too. It's looking like we have a very good receiver group this year. Hope they all stay healthy. And we have a great TE for a change too. Holy cow, pinch me!
He is a huge bonus for this offense. I expect a couple deep shots to him and maybe an end around. He has got some serious speed. We are already seeing other 1st round receivers make a huge impact. It is time to unleash our first round pick.
With his speed, if they adjust to fit his talent while not giving him a full playbook, they can run him on "Jet Sweeps" or quick catch and runs behind the line, similar to the plays that Randle is currently turning into only 2 yard gains, and one or two 9 routes.

TC seemed to imply something entirely different. OBJ knows the playbook and barring the unforeseen, will play the whole game.
I don't want to create a new thread but is anyone picking Beckham up in their fantasy leagues? I have an extra spot and considering adding him.
I picked him up and I certainly would if you have a spot. Look at what Benjamin is already doing in Carolina. Beckham was taken about half a round before him. I expect Beckham to have an impact before long at all.

Corey Washington looks like he's getting redshirted like Cruz was in 2010. It's slightly different due to the fact that Cruz was IRed in 2010 and Washington is playing specials now, but imagine if Washington develops into what he could be and we have him with ODB, Cruz and Donnell. All of a sudden that is a really explosive receiving corps

Arc, I have no doubt he can make an impact. You can do so many things with him right now than if he was in Gilbrides offense.

Lets not write Randle off just yet. Had a big game last week. Hoping that continues.
If he's 100%, I see no reason why he can't get more than 5-7 snaps. That seems pretty low.
Agree. It's more the type of routes that concern as far as re-injure go. If he has to rely on sharp breaks/juking etc. I'd think that would present more hammy pressure than a straight GO route or a FLAG route.
Just let him go in the X position and make the defense keep an eye on him. If they let him go w/o safety help, Eli can back shoulder Beckham 30 yards down field.

Randle is a pretty talented WR even if he's not a true #1 type, but he is clearly a bad fit on these quick YAC plays. I hate watching him struggle to accelerate and make anyone miss on. I think Beckham is going to be a much better option on these plays..
without him. Give him another week of rest and rehab and practice.
Nah. Throw him in there at least a little. If he's made it through several full 100% practices, a little game time shouldn't hurt him.
Even if God forbid he re-injures his hammy, keep him out until after the bye. Plenty of time to replace his hamstring with some old Ford F150 leaf springs.

If you have a roster spot you should definitely pick him up. Nobody used a waiver claim on him this week in my league, so I picked him up a week early to make sure I got him. If he is what the Giants think he is, he could very well be an impact in fantasy by playoff time.
of holding him back? Put him in and if he reinjures it we'll cross that bridge then. If he's healthy enough to go 100% in practice that's all I need to know.
Once he gets familiar with everything and is playing Â
So the doctors on this website that have not evaluated him physically, and have not seen him workout either say he should wait. LOL! Where can you get entertainment like this.
Wanted a WR in the draft number one. Levin is probably good. But with Beatty looking good. And the rest of the 0-line doing well, the fact that we have what people say is a total game changer is exciting. But whether he plays a little or a lot I'm not sure. .He means so much to the franchise I think I would be cautious. Let him stretch the field and make
Atlanta very aware of him Straigtaway stuff. 10 snaps.

I dont think we were ever in play for Lewan, personally.
He was a prototypical Jerry Reese guy, in that he had perfect "height, weight, speed" but his tape was not dominant. It was good, OK, but never dominant. Combine that with his off the field issues, I dont think he was ever in play for us. He's got that type of personality that would sink a young kid in NYC.
Martin was far more preferable because he was a natural guard who could grow into a tackle spot. Drafting him would never threaten Beatty or Pugh immediately, and he could develop under the radar as a tackle for when we needed him.
Maybe a quick screen or a reverse-type deal. With his speed, that could easily make for a positive play. But I don't think he'll get many snaps just yet.
I want to see Washington. The more legitimate weapons that other teams fear, the better.
On our side of the field, I want it to be ultimately about Cruz and Beckham. As we near the Green Zone - Donnell & Washington. Randle is the wildcard, he can contribute in both parts of the field.
and even just a somewhat productive Beckham make RR a much more productive receiver, based on what I saw of them at LSU.
My take: I like the 5-7 plays scenario, get him the ball, let him get a little NFL hit, and get those first game jitters out of the way. At a minimum, he makes a good decoy, spreads the D out a little, help RJ get some extra yardage.

Agreed.
Good post. I agree.

You don't burn the #12 overall pick on a wide receiver you don't believe can be a #1 type X-receiver guy.
I'm right with ya'!

If OBJ injures his hammy this week BBI will go into a tail spin because of this

Jerry be like
It will be just something else for the Falcons staff to worry about, and that's good

He shouldn't have his first NFL game experience on the road in a key divisional game.
"Get his feet wet" this week at home in a limited role (15 to 20 snaps?).
Giants need to play him as much as they can. That's the best way for him to improve.
If he's cleared to play then he should play. It's not Coughlin's fault if he re-injures himself.
