it's probably gonna be ugly as hell on the football field. Because male fans are much more likely to buy camo merch than pink merch, the Camo could have a far bigger presence on TV. I just hope they don't go too crazy with the camo.
Some people don't like cloying displays of self-serving flagwaving
but others apparently take what they can get. Makes sense given military pay.
You're a hero! We honor you at a football game! Look you got a sideline pass to watch a Jaguar game! Now stand there and look dutifully stoic for this FOX Interstitial as we super impose a waving flag onto Cletus the Robot's back! America! This is in no way cheapening patriotism as Troy Aikman waxes poetic about service. Look, we have a live look in to Bagram Air Force base as more poor saps spend another year away from families! the NFL cares! Happy Thanksgiving!
What are the colors of child abuse and beating women, the NFL
When ever player conduct is discussed, and Ray Lewis is with the analysis group, it should be required that he wears a brown paper bag over his head, yes he can have an eye hole and nose hole, but no mouth hole.

Yea I kind of agree with this too. The NFL is clearly looking for good PR with the "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" and "Honoring Military Month", which just makes it feel so cheap like you said. But at the same time it does raise awareness for Breast Cancer and it does place more attention onto Military servicemen who deserve it. It's a double edged sword, I have nothing but respect for the Military and of course I want to fight cancer... but it just feels like such a marketing gimmick from the NFL.

Kudos, more than quite the effort.
It all does get a bit tiresome and the pink stuff has no business on a football field (not to diminish the cause, but it's a bit of obvious pandering).
Hunting camo is the worst. Made even worse by the fact that I live in an area where more than many feel it is perfectly acceptable evening attire. It's not. If your not on your way or just returning from killing some shit in the woods, you look retarded.
where something like 92.8% of the proceeds from the Pink gear goes to line the owners pockets and the remaining 7.2% goes to Breast Cancer "Awareness"? Thought I remember reading something like that.
I know one of these hoaxes is like that.
It's ridiculous. WHy doesn't the NFL just write a nice fat check
humanitarian claims. More so than any other sports organization, they care only about their product. "Protecting the shield." Was chatting it up with my buddy's wife two weekends ago and she said that commercial the NFL aired against domestic violence was the most offensive thing they've done to date, mainly because it was so incredibly disingenuous. The same organization that lied and enabled it all of a sudden was airing these commercials without even a hint of regret for previous actions (and saying "we got it wrong" doesn't quality).
It really is unintentionally transparent in the worst way.
I'm ok with Army wearing it, or another service academy. It just makes sense.
But all 32 NFL teams with as much camo gear as possible? No thanks. Just going to look so cheesy imo. And like I said before, since camo gear will sell better than pink gear we could see a lot more camo than we ever saw pink. I hope I'm dead wrong on that.
RE: The Army shitcanned the ACU pattern anyway, didn't they?
Why is USMA still wearing ACUs? Shouldn't they have MultiCam unis?
Yes...I believe that the Army is phasing out the ACUs, but it's a slow process. And I doubt that West Point will make it any faster of a transition than the rest of the Army.
This site has 1000s of users. I find it funny how people make statements about the feelings of those 1000s off of comments from a couple dozen of them. Like there is some type of hive mind here.

A pink ribbon on the jerseys or field or both would have been more than enough. The pink accessories, cleats, etc. is just too much, is an eyesore, and really just crap. But, this year especially, it comes of as hypocritical.
But get used to seeing ugly camo jerseys, because I'm pretty sure the NFL is doing an Armed forces month this November.
As bad as Pink gloves and accessories are, I'm pretty sure that Camo gear is going to be a lot more annoying.

Aww.....cmon' Osi. As a member of the Armed Forces, I like to get a little love once a year. Does it really cause you that much pain?

I'd never heard of such a thing!
Holy shit!

Baseball equally bad, giving $1 from a $30 camo hat to Vet causes, pocketing the other $25

Why do you hate our uniform, Osi?

And to be clear, I completely agree with you and Nitro (among others) on this topic.

Color Ribbon meanings - ( New Window )
Brown spotted with red. Are polka dots in this season?
