Dear Odell

Daniel in MI : 10/1/2014 9:08 pm
Hi Odell, I'm Daniel. I hear you might get into the game this week. That'd be just super! But I have a some teeny little requests, if you don't mind.

First, don't suck, ok?

Second, HOLD ONTO THE FRIGGIN' BALL. You see, you've not really been hit in an NFL game. Or even a preseason game for that matter. You're stepping in with defenders in mid season form who want nothing more than to rip that thing out. And they're bigger and faster than college and will come at you from all directions. The thing is, your coach, Tom? He REALLY hates players who turn it over. So, if you follow point one (you know, the not sucking part) then I'm really going to want to see you play with Eli and this O. But if you cough it up, with this coach? We won't see you again until around Xmas. Ask David Wilson if you don't believe me. Xmas!

So remember: don't suck and hold onto the ball. And remember to not get hurt either. That's the other thing.

Ok great. Your pal,
Daniel

had fumbling issues in college.

People said if you hit him hard in the hole, he is prone to fumbling.
Don't suck, hold onto the ball and don't get hurt...

I mean that really is everything.

Why exactly do they even need OTAs, training camp and preseason?
TOSR for life.

STAY HEALTHY. The Giants have the WORST luck with the long term health of their first rounders

It makes coaches feel useful and helps with their self esteem. Otherwise they might get depressed. Look at BB in NE, even with game days he can barely roll out of bed and come to the field without even changing.

With no OTAs, to would be at Old Country Buffet 5 min before 2 every day for senior early bird special dinner.

Send wine. I'm down to kiwi flavored MadDog 20/20 and Blue Nun (no wonder she's blue, you'd be sad too if your wine sucked).
Hey no knocking up the Nun!
BlueLou : 10/2/2014 2:26 am : link
My parents were very light drinkers, but with one German aunt we often had Blue Nun at the holiday table along with rye for the obligate bachelor uncle. So BN was my own personal intro to the world of wine. She'll always have a place in my heart for that alone.

For a buck or two, went fine with turkey...
Love the Old Country Buffet

When a dude addresses a dude as Dear

I find it endearing, yet I think it can only be written but not verbalized
Dear HH
Daniel in MI : 10/2/2014 8:04 am : link
Funny, but I never think of that in a letter as the same as calling them dear. Now "my dear" or "dearest" that would be weird. But if I can say "dear sir or ma'am" I can't be expressing that much affection. From now on, deer Odell.
I can write dear Mr.--------( last name)

I can't write Dear ---------( first name)
that's just me I guess

No defense for kiwi flavored Mad Dog? I really have bought that once in school. It was more of a gag gift, the color alone was electric.

It has been a long time. Back when Hammer was still playing, I kind of did a parody of all the people claiming to have inside information. I wrote The Outsiders Report (TOSR). My attempts at "humor." Some people thought it was "funny." But, some people drink a lot. This thread appears to be giving us a list of who those people are.
I do drink a lot, and there's also a considerable amount of drug use.
shepherdsam : 10/2/2014 10:17 pm : link

Still, TOSR was damn funny.
