What is your favorite Giants/Eagles game?

Route 9 in LEH : 10/8/2014 12:14 am
Here's a couple of mine

December 28, 2002
Giants win in OT after Tiki fumbles 4 times. The score was 10-7 and so many goofs by the Giants that day the Giants should've scored more than that. Of course, the Shockey game tying touchdown in which he threw the ball into the crowd.

September 25 2011
An underrated one I believe in recent Giants history. After that nonsense in December 2010 the Giants go into Philly and Victor Cruz hauls in two touchdowns. The Giants had a nice goal line stand on the one yard line. Brandon Jacobs caught a long TD on a wheel route and Bradshaw ran all over their "wide-9" defense.

January 7, 2001

Playoff game Ron Dixon takes it to the house on the games very first play and Sehorn had that amazing INT return for a TD.

o yea

I'd like to add the dozen sack game of McNabb. The offense didn't make it pretty but damn, that was so fun to watch. Watched with my brother, who lives the Eagles as much as I love the Giants, and I was just laughing my ass off while Winston Justice nearly gave him a stroke at 22.

But if I had to pick one it'd be the playoff game where Dixon ran back the kickoff. I was lucky enough to be there for that one.
Honestly
State of the Giants 14 : 10/8/2014 12:55 am : link
the 2006 game because everyone made such a big deal about that 2010 comeback for the Eagles and it still gets brought up as if it's something relevant. It feels like the 06 comeback-er against the Eagles was forgotten about the very next day. Always rub Eagles fan's noses in the dirt about that one.

Probably the '00 divisional game.

Also, the Halloween game in '99 where Strahan took the INT back to the house in OT for the win.

guys for not putting the 1981 game on their list. I put The Fumble game at #2 for me. Without that unmitigated disaster, I firmly believe we don't get to where we are today. Hell, maybe it should be my #1.

1990, opening night, when we hadn't beaten the Eagles in years. Those goddamned Buddy Ryan teams, so scummy, who always seemed to have the Giants' number. Meggett took a punt return to the house to take the lead, and they hung on for a tough win.
1986's 35-3 asskicking. Held the Eagles to about 100 yards total offense and LT damned near killed Jaworski.

We had just moved back to Pensacola and didn't even have our cable set up yet, so I went to a sports bar to watch. Think I was the only Giants fan in the place, and the table across from me was loaded with drunken, obnoxious Eagles fans (but I repeat myself). They started off loud and just got louder and louder as the first half progressed, taunting me the entire time. Couldn't do anything but sit there with steam coming outta my ears. The comeback, and their subsequent reactions to it, was just absolutely priceless after that.
For anyone between the ages of 45 and 60

With Barber's 4 fumbles, Shockey's catch, Akers missing a game-sealing chip shot and Bryant's OT field goal to send the Giants to the playoffs.
The game in 2006 was fantastic.

My favorite is the 2001 playoff game. I had just moved into the Philly area. The Giants' owned the Eagles that year and the years prior. For that playoff game, McNabb was on the rise so all week the talk in Philly was, the Eagles are better than the Giants and are going to win. Heard it at work, on the radio, anywhere I went. Ron Dixon, opening kickoff of the game, see you later.
I would say the Eagles

I've only been to 4 Giants games, and that was one of them. After 3 quarters, I wanted to be just about any place other than at the game seeing all the Eagle fans celebrating. I couldn't believe it when they came back.
I enjoyed the Shockey game

where Shockey ripped the ball right out of Dawkins hands in the end zone.

Two reasons. First, because that was the day my little boy was born. Second, because they won big due to the amazing emergence of Mr. Cruz. Just a truly memorable and magical day.

As for the best games I ever watched, it would be tie between the 1981 and 2000 playoff games. Just awesome for many reasons.
surprised no one else mentioned the 1990 game
Greg from LI : 10/8/2014 4:24 pm : link
At the time, that was a huge win. The Eagles were such a damned thorn in the Giants' side in those days, and indeed were again later in the year when they were the only team that took the 1990 Giants to the woodshed, 31-13. The other two losses that year, to the Niners and Bills, were 7-3 and 17-13.
Was there for the 2001 and 2007 games

The problem I have with the 1981 Wild Card game...
Big Blue Blogger : 10/8/2014 5:20 pm : link
...is that Simms didn't play, which made the win a little bittersweet for his most devoted fans.

I'll go with a more obscure one: the 1985 opener, a 21-0 win in which Marshall and Taylor combined for six sacks and the Giants ran all over the Eagle defense. I think Jaworski was hospitalized afterward, though I might have the wrong game.

This has to be it. Underdogs, new comers to the post season, Brunner playing for an injured Simms, no one gives us a chance, and Carpenter just demolishes them for 160 yards. We get ahead 20-0 and held on. My happiest day as a Giants fan until the 1986 Super bowl.

The first time is always the best

A first Q pass to Harry Newman from Hap Moran and the Jints never looked back.

The boys really put it to em that day.

i was actually there. I sat with my buddy "Concrete Mark" who laid down the whole Camden aquarium. He's a strong build. 5 foot 6 tall. We went with his girlfriends friend's 8 sons and it was his 18th birthday and we found out he was such a lightweight that day and he tried to take 18 shots and then 18 hits of weed. couldn't do it...no no no @ the Wildflowers LOl. They're open! bag it.

Game was so great. All the Eagle fans did was taunt us when they were winning and then he turned around and called them "The Beagles" and they started making fun of him and then he put on his "hunting hat" backward and nobody fucked with him.

We all took a picture for the to send to his grandma. The kid put up the middle finger. He's not allowed back into my house, because I don't go to your house and go in your cabinets.
