If the Giants HAD to wear an alternate uniform once a year, what would you want the jersey to be? Would you want them to go back the Red jerseys?
The 80's jerseys?
A blue on blue sort of thing?
gray on gray?
Or would you choose from much older jerseys?
Remember that there is a new rule that says if you wear an alternate uniform, you have to use the regular helmet.
I agree, because you'll end up with two primary colors and not three.
I think, and have always thought, that the 80s/90s uniforms are nothing special, and I actually like the red alternate unis. And, I'd much rather the '34 unis as a throwback than 80s/90s.
Too similar to Dallas for my taste. Which is probably why they did red anyway.
If I had to see an alternate, I'd love to see the White away jerseys from the Parcells era. I'm not much on throwbacks from the '20's of '30's, which no one alive remembers anyway. I like the '71 jerseys posted, but if we're talking one game a year, I'd definitely go with the Parcells-era jerseys, preferably the whites.
Minus the dated helmet logo, those are actually pretty nice. I'd hate blue pants with a blue jersey, but blue pants with a white jersey looks pretty good there.
For awhile I didn't like the idea of the 86 era throwback, not really sure why, maybe bc the blue on the helmet doesn't quite match the blue on the uni's, much like Minnesota for a long stretch. But I've warmed to the idea in recent years and was disappointed when they canned that idea.
If a team really doesn't like one of these modern but Any Given Sunday ugly uniforms, especially a traditional team like the Giants, who basically wear throwbacks every week, can it be forced on them?
