We played tonight?
Spoiler.

There will be bitching.
Eric's prediction of 33-10

was generous. to us.
The signing feeling watching the team get blown out and

Not show up is by now very familiar.
I thought we had a bye...

I can't wait to hear
endwerc : 10/12/2014 11:28 pm : link
how well we practiced all week.
All we need is to win in Dallas to right the ship
viggie : 10/12/2014 11:29 pm : link
they better come out pissed after this debacle.
Aside from the Cruz injury
bceagle05 : 10/12/2014 11:29 pm : link
my biggest disappointment is Justin Pugh. Please tell me he's playing through some nagging injury? That was about as poor a performance as I can remember from an offensive lineman who's at least halfway decent.

Amazing this game ended 27-0. It had 41-0 written all over it.
7-9

Two things I can't get through my head about TC tonight
trueblueinpw : 10/12/2014 11:30 pm : link
Why did TC throw the red flag in the first half? Clearly that was a catch. What was the point? So early in the game, no point.

And why in world didn't we kick the field goal in third quarte? What the heck was TC tthinking? That was a horrible call. Absolutely horrible.

Pugh has looked a bit off at times this season. He's whiffed on a number of occasions. I think he's working through an injury, the arm protection would seem to indicate that.
A shutout thrown by a bad Eagles defense
dpinzow : 10/12/2014 11:34 pm : link
We took lots of steps backwards

i think it is fair to say that there is a very high chance that Cruz brings that ball in if he does not get hurt.

Then it is a great call.
Pugh
Marty866b : 10/12/2014 11:36 pm : link
How many sacks did he give up tonight. Has to be in Winston Justice territory. Great first round pick Jerry!
I cannot believe they were shut out by that fucking defense
Greg from LI : 10/12/2014 11:36 pm : link
Just embarrassing. I don't care what happened today, that's a shitty defense.
that was a head scratcher
Peter from CT : 10/12/2014 11:37 pm : link
everything good that has happened within this team over the last three weeks just went out the window. Oh well.
the thing about the O line
blapre74 : 10/12/2014 11:37 pm : link
it wasn't just Pugh. The ea gals got pressure right up the middle all night. I hope this is just a case of flatness, but I fear it's much deeper. It is gonna be a long season.
the game speaks for itself
newmike2 : 10/12/2014 11:39 pm : link
the Giants were lucky that the score wasn't 45-0.

It's comforting that my week 2 post game commentary
BigBlueBuff : 10/12/2014 11:39 pm : link
about the Giants wasn't wrong. This team sucks and only looked good because it fattened up against teams that are worse.

Yeah, that's become a hallmark of the TC era. I don't know what to make of that. Does this happen to other teams with some regularity?
Well, on the bright side, we only gave up 7 points in the 2nd half.

this game tells you everything
bc4life : 10/12/2014 11:41 pm : link
you need to know - division game, we needed more than them.

blow this shit team up and start from scratch.

and Philly's a decent team who have struggled every week

we got
area junc : 10/12/2014 11:41 pm : link
badly out-coached ... we should know this eagles team better than anybody and we looked clueless.how do u explain that?

scary stuff - this game was every bit as bad as the panthers game last year imo that seemed to scar everybody
How many points did we score?
Jints in Carolina : 10/12/2014 11:41 pm : link
that's it
jintsjunkie : 10/12/2014 11:42 pm : link
Perhaps the worst performance I've seen in 50 years, Pisarcik included. That's it. Coughlin and Fewell will not survive. Reese?

Lots of room to grow,

the Giants 10 more times this season ... otherwise ... they'd probably WIN a SB !!! ;)
keep hearing about Eagles and Dallas having bad defenses
micky : 10/12/2014 11:44 pm : link
they're not great but they sure are formidable and can win and keep you in games. They're not bad.
100% pathetic preparation and performance from the head coach
Shockeyisthebest80 : 10/12/2014 11:44 pm : link
on down. Both coordinators were a day late and a dollar short... McAdoo with trying to run without numbers and example #1,012 of Fewell NOT even remotely trying to take away the opponents' main weapon. Coughlin wasted a timeout/challenge just because he was angry. The offensive line gave them NO CHANCE to win. Despite McCoy returning to life, I give the defense a slight pass because I think the issues were 99.99% related to the coordinator.

The injury to Cruz was like kicking a man with broken legs in the nuts. Repeatedly.

I'll be over this mess by tomorrow. The team... I'm not so sure about them.
Leave it to the Giants ..
Mike in Raleigh : 10/12/2014 11:44 pm : link
to make the Eagles look like an UNBEATABLE ALL-WORLD team !!!

Cruz =(
If the Philly D ..
Mike in Raleigh : 10/12/2014 11:45 pm : link
is BAD ... then what is the GIANTS D ??? Huh ???
Leave Coughlin alone..

this is a Reese issue.

Formidible my ass. Is this the first Eagles game you've watched this year? They stopped absolutely no one before tonight.
3-3 is better than 0-6!

Austin Davis threw for 300 plus yards and 3 TDs. And their skill players are worse than ours. All comes to the OL. And right now, we dont have one.
No problem getting over the loss
Overseer : 10/12/2014 11:51 pm : link
used to this shit after last season and, let's face it, the Eagles have mostly had the Giants number in any sort of meaningful game for a while now.

But Cruz really hurts. Watching him sob being carted away was extremely difficult. Hopefully it's just for the season b/c the thought of his career being seriously affected is sickening.

Onto Dallas. Then after the bye Colts, Seahawks, Niners, Dallas again. (Fuck).

Wasn't Fewell touted last year
Reb8thVA : 10/12/2014 11:53 pm : link
As the first DC who solved Kelly's vaunted offense? What happened this year?
slow LBs don't help
bc4life : 10/12/2014 11:55 pm : link
McClain - compelling life story - slow. Beason slowed by injuries and we don't have another starer quality LB on the team - until the rook gets healthy
Why did McAdoo
pinyin : 10/12/2014 11:55 pm : link
Why did he keep running that same exact running play to the same exact hole all night? It got stuffed every single time.

Coughlin and McAdoo must have been hung over from last night or something. Neither of them showed up and their game decisions and overall perception were not alligned with anything in this game..

At least Fewell had the wherewithal to make adjustments, but they too were easily fooled by Chip Kelly's draw plays.

Poor Victor Cruz. Although this opens the door for OBJR, Cruz has some agonizing days ahead of him...

Have to keep the safeties back to worry about this generation's Rice and Taylor, known as Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin.
