One way to look at the positive

I will say he is the real deal, because he will now be the guy getting doubled consistently. No other receiver on the GIants is a threat of any kind. Cruz at least had the ability to take one to the house at any given notice. Now Beckham is the only guy with that ability. We will be even easier to defend now.

And the loss of Cruz is a big one. My only point is that as a result of the Cruz injury OBJ will have the chance of a much bigger role and opens up the possibility of his doing things that he wouldn't have.

At the start of the season we knew what we had in Cruz but OBJ was hurt and we didn't think we had a TE. Now Donnell has shown some amazing abilities catching the ball and OBJ is the man instead of Cruz. Sometimes things just happen. My point is for the Giant fan although not the way you want it to happen this gives us something to watch and look forward to as it unfolds. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a great NY Giant career for the WR and we get the fun of being part of that as a fan. I am looking forward to see how this young man responds to the challenge and the stage he is now playing on.

Just one thing positive to look forward to.

this is what we were looking forward to when OBJ came back from the injury. Now, instead of looking forward to a promising rookie do his thing, we're doing the same but expecting it in the face of a lot more double teams.

The only positive I can think that comes of this is the team realizes they're not as good as the press they were getting and they try to get their shit in order.

I guess I am doing a poor job explain myself. It isn't a positive in the sense that it makes the Giants better in any way. But the story of OBJ has greatly changed and will be a more interesting one to focus on. At least IMO it is.

The first season of his we would have watched if Cruz hadn't gotten hurt has vanished. And just like many things that alter our paths that end up greatly affecting the outcome of our lives this has altered his and the first season we now will get to watch will be dramatically different from what it would have been. I am excited to see how that will unfold and hopefully we will al be thrilled with the outcome.

they single cover his replacement and now focus on OBj....for a guy that has two games and just two weeks of practice under him, unless he is the second coming of Randy Moss, he will get frustrated out there, either because he will be covered by 2-3 guys, or Eli won't have the time to get it to him.....

This is NOT a good situation for him.....

put 8 offensive lineman out there with Donnel. Run the ball 99% of the time and the Giants can't score any less points than they did last night. Atleast Eli won't look so bad! Steve there seemed to be nothing in that game last night to hang your hat on. your not doing bad, you just have very little to work with. Today is another day, thats the only positive from yesterday. Its over, best to forget it!

on the rookie is the LAST thing he needs. He just needs to continue to grow into an NFL #1 WR. He will be dbld in every game now which wont make it any easier.

is that we were an effective team with just Cruz and Donnell. If OBJ can threaten the def like Cruz can, then I think the Giants offense can still be respectable.
