Sun Night Shutout - Anyone Else Having A Rough Week At Work?

Trainmaster : 10/14/2014 11:16 am
Getting shut out on a Sunday Night game has to be the worst.

Anyone else getting "extra visits" from co-workers and having to deal with:

Quote:
"Wow your Giants looking horrible."

"What's wrong with your Giants?"

"I thought the Giants had turned it around, but I guess they really do stink."

I am really glad the Giants have won 2 of the last 7 Super Bowls. I can usually stick that in the face of whatever LA area bandwagon or LA area transplant fan that comes around. Pretty easy to stick it to Cowboy fans in spite of their 5-1 record (1 playoff win since 1995?), Lions fans (1957?), Bears fan (what have you won since 1985) ...

Still, a pretty crappy week to be a Giants fan. How goes it in your neck of the woods?
I've been pretty bummed about, and for Cruz.
Curtis in VA : 10/14/2014 11:19 am : link
In that respect yeah, its been a pretty unproductive couple of days at work. Don't really feel like doing much.
Which is kind of stupid I guess since

I don't know the guy and its not like he's dying or anything, haha.

Oh well.
Youre not alone

Curtis. Seeing a guy who is known for his dancing and smiling sobbing like that has brought me down a bit
At halftime all the texts started pouring in.
MaineGiantFan : 10/14/2014 11:24 am : link
I was visited at work yesterday by a Cleveland Browns fan who was giving me some shit also. To think its only Tuesday....
Wow you must work with a lot of sports fans
bignygfan : 10/14/2014 11:24 am : link
At my job nobody talks sports, today it's all about ISIS, the November elections and Russell Brand on Letterman.

I am envious.
No.
Randy in CT : 10/14/2014 11:24 am : link
Hate when the team loses but you just move onto the next game. And this next game should be easy to deal with. I'm expecting a big loss so if we win, great! If not, meh?
it has been awful here in the philly suburbs
ChriS : 10/14/2014 11:26 am : link
I actually threw up twice yesterday thinking of what was waiting for me here in the office, once in my backyard walking to my car, and then again in the men's room after I got her. A woman who I went to church with years ago, and who I never spoke to on the telephone even once, called me yesterday to congratulate me on Eli's great game Sunday night.

The whole Mike Missinelli (sp?) thing has me so furious I can't even think straight, too.

God this sucks.

did not ADJUST at all...
Did you really throw up because of the game?
BLUATHRT : 10/14/2014 11:31 am : link
Ebola?
I mean... how do you from scoring
Kevin(formerly Tiki4Six) : 10/14/2014 11:31 am : link
35 points a game the last few weeks to NOTHING!!
No problems for

has their been any fallout...
BillKo : 10/14/2014 11:43 am : link

Rough week?

me too, it was heartbreaking seeing him in pain & his arm around the trainer & it didn't help that yesterday was so gloomy

To the contrary: Eagles fans are either rushing to defend his backpedal, or applauding his original tweet.

To corroborate Chris in Philly: Effing miserable here.

not a fun week to be here. Next week is a buy for them so they'll live in the glory dominating the Giants for a long while before getting serious about the next game.
Sad for Cruz
RIZZBIZZ : 10/14/2014 11:57 am : link
AND supposed to have dinner with in laws Sunday - all Dallas lovers and just as dumb and cocky as you'd imagine. Fuck.
I live & work in Philadelphia
TomTom : 10/14/2014 12:05 pm : link
and coming into the office are they lost to the Eagles is the worst. It's especially bad when you can't tell people you work with what you really like say. You have to be like, it was a tough loss, you guys played a great game. Not much to say....But I'd really like to say, you can start removing each one of the Giants Super Bowl rings with your mouth from my dick. Go fuck yourself.
Hopefully the Giant players are having a very rough week.
WideRight : 10/14/2014 12:05 pm : link
And if I did my job as poorly as they did theirs, I would expect to have a bad week too.

Trainmaster : 10/14/2014 12:08 pm : link
Not just the players, the coaching staff (they were schooled by Chip Kelly) and the front office / personnel dept / scouting staff too (they gathered this talent poor team) as well.

Missinelli...
BillKo : 10/14/2014 12:10 pm : link
is lying about not knowing Cruz was hurt. I mean...cmon. It's not like a second after the dropped pass, he was tweeting it. You could see Cruz was hurt...and your first instict would be to stop and see why Cruz was laying there........

What goes around, will come around. It always does.
I don't think they were schooled....
BillKo : 10/14/2014 12:11 pm : link
by Chip Kelly.

The fact is we couldn't block their DL and blitz schemes, and that was the entire game right there..............
Very opposite impact on me, especially today.
Mike in Long Beach : 10/14/2014 12:27 pm : link
Other than researching Cruz's injury, I did nothing but work yesterday. Today I've been more productive as well. I have no interest at all in football right now. I'll get amped up by Friday for sure, but right now I'm just trying to get throught the work day.
Yup
old man : 10/14/2014 1:04 pm : link
and at least 1/2 of the long weekend, exclusive OF Sunday night, was LIKE Sunday night.
It doesnt help that I have also been covering for an ill co-worker the last 3 months, and a deadline date on their work was changed from COB Friday to COB TODAY.
I'm 'enjoying' this moment of my now 15 minutes of lunch hour to vent before I sacrifice the other 45 minutes to work.
Sometimes I wish I drank.
TTFN.

to tell me that the Giants really suck! A good natured ribbing though. He is a great guy.
I work with a Cowboy fan & an Eagles fan
Vin R : 10/14/2014 2:22 pm : link
FYI the Cowboys fan just checks the scores and doesn't watch but will continue to walk around the office saying "How 'bout them Giants!?"
Still
Glover : 10/14/2014 2:48 pm : link
rocked my NY draft cap. I dont always wear it, but I definitely wear it when the Giants lose. Gotta represent win or lose. I just got some "what happened to the Giants?" Eagles fan was sticking it to me, I just said: "be thankful for the gift, even great Giants teams give a couple out a year

Terrible week

nobody is sticking it to me here in NYC, it's Tuesday....

and I'm still miserable.

I'd trade this loss, heck I'd *almost* be tempted to say trade the season to never see that Cruz injury happen. Heartbreaking and headache inducing.
Not really
giantgiantfan : 10/14/2014 5:57 pm : link
Just bummed about Cruz. I hope the team rally's and goes out and wins one for Cruz this week. I also had the season premier of Walking Dead to look forward to after the game, really helped me forget about it.
