I've just applied for a Chase "Mission Mainstreet" Grant for small businesses and I need at least 250 votes via Facebook Connect by October 17th to move to the next step and be considered. For those of you who don’t know me very well, I’m a chemical engineer with 20+ years of environment related engineering. My company is Indoor Environmental Solutions. The grant could be the difference between growth and stagnation, or even decline, for my business. If it grows, my products and services could help a lot of people in terms of prevention and in some cases recovery, from a wide range of health issues including: cancer, infectious viruses and bacteria (in hospitals, airports, etc.), asthma, allergies, autism, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, sleep disorders, infertility, headaches and more. It could also add jobs including good manufacturing jobs for the local community.
The grant would be used for a combination of things including equipment/materials required for development and manufacturing of 2 specialty products (these products are currently manufactured outside the US but they are expensive, could be improved and manufactured in the US). I am active in the community (including coaching and pro bono consulting for people battling cancer - studies have found reducing exposure to certain environmental hazards found in homes can drastically increase odds of recovery) and could really use your help!
