Amani Toomer Opines on G-Men

FYI.
Amani Toomer ‘disheartened’ with Giants attitude - ( New Window )
I agree
Arcanum : 10/16/2014 7:28 pm : link
With everything he said, except, Romo being better than Eli.
I think he backed off that comment a little
Reese's Pieces : 10/16/2014 7:38 pm : link
when he said that last year Eli was leading the league in interceptions. This year I think it is more wait and see how Eli plays with better people around him. Except it's becoming questionable if he does have better people around him.
Unless you are a total homer it's hard to disagree

That said I think this team is made of stronger stuff. Will see this weekend.
He should know better than anybody
SHO'NUFF : 10/16/2014 8:09 pm : link
that Gilbride's system makes it tough for any QB...to say anybody is better than Eli, given his knowledge of the scheme and Eli's responsibilities, to me, is disrespectful.
Rom's greatness can't be denied

The Romom-Eli debate is one of the great ones in the annals of NFC Eastdom.
I'll take

Eli.

has had a axeto grind for a while now. I wonder if he feel slighted because of the Super Bowl in the big catch at the end by plax.
Put this shit

in the lockerroom.

Bulletin board material. . Lets see if these men respond.
For some reason

I thought with the new offensive system and more consistent play on defense that the Giants were less likely to play below their potential. I thought the Eagles were much more likely to be the inconsistent team, but they wanted it more than the Giants Sunday night and the Giants on offense and defense looked like the team that was lost for most of last season. I guess that consistency will take more time to develop.
Amani was an amazing receiver
Heisenberg's Son : 10/17/2014 2:42 am : link
but listening to him speak makes me think that he may have taken a few too many hits to the head.

Thanks for the warning. If Amani said Romo is better than Eli than I have no reason to read anything Amani says.
He said it last year
oipolloi : 10/17/2014 12:35 pm : link
The reporter asks him about those comments and Ani says that is how it appeared at the time because of all Eli's ints

He then says they are both good, which I think is accurate for the regular season.

The difference is Eli's flourished in the postseason , whereas Romo has flopped in the postseason
I usually skip over Toomer
mrvax : 10/17/2014 12:48 pm : link
interviews because he can be rather dim-witted. I read this one though and have to agree with him.

Coughlin as to get these guys playing at 100%. I don't know what that takes as a head coach but Coughlin should and I hope he gets them fired up.

Here is my only problem with this...He is now making it seem as if he made the comments after the season when it was known Eli had thrown all the picks. I believe he made his comments either at the beginning of the season or start, which is a different story.
