I know a couple of the same assholes that also turn into rabid 49er fans in January (when they are good.)
but I like the Giants (much more than the Cardinals) and the Giants Rookie 2nd Baseman is from my town and went to my High School (6 years after me so I don't know him or anything) so there's a local connection there.
I'm fine with either of these 2 teams, miles ahead of freaking Cardinals-Red Sox from last year.

They set the date for game 1 of the world series every year well in advance and don't move it based on when the previous series end.
