AMC Fear Fest starts today. I always love Halloween season, its goofy and we always get a ton of horror movies on TV. Fear Fest has been the "destination" for horror movies for like 20 years. This year's lineup is really underwhelming.
There is a Stephen King marathon today, but much of the schedule is multiple airings of the Halloween & Friday the 13th marathons. The schedule is supplemented by Cujo, a friggin Tremors marathon and some blah more recent flicks.
I used to love watching the really old Universal Monster movies and the Hammer Horror flicks during Fear Fest back when I was in college in the early 00s. Seems like they haven't played those in close to 10 years.
Anyone know is those Universal/Hammer movies are on TV anymore? Is there a place to stream them? If you're interested in the Fear Fest line up, the link is below.

Check out "MadMan" (1981) if you haven't. My favorite 80s slasher.
Way better option for me than going the TV programming route.
2 or 3? Because I know 3 is the one that had nothing to do with Michael Myers and everybody hated it for that. So that may be why they don't show it.
I agree with this. Campy but fun.

except for part 2? some strange rights?

Part 2, part three is played all the time, and yes it was bad
All the trailers for AMC Fear Fest have featured the Rooney Mara Elm Street movie. Hope that's not what you mean.
There's a bunch of cool little companies now that specialize in re-releasing horror/grindhouse stuff on blu-ray. Rumor is that one of them, Vinegar Syndrome, is releasing the Madman blu-ray next year.
Another company called Scream Factory is great too. I recently got Motel Hell and Witchboard on blu-ray.
I've already watched Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein, plus Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein. Dracula is up next. Bela Lugosi & Boris Karloff are the best, I watch them every year.
My tradition is to watch Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein every Halloween evening. I've been watching it since I was 10 years old.

Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein is always entertaining and never gets old!

Haha... I like the Tremors flicks. They're campy and funny at times. I guess if you didn't know there were 4 Tremors movies, you also probably don't know there's 13 episodes of a TV series too. hehe... :)
