the defensive game plan takes into consideration the fact they are facing one of the league's best backs.
pass rush is critical - Romo cannot keep taking a lot of hits and while still elusive, the back injury has impacted his athleticism. still has a tendency to make some bad decisions when pressured (but can also hurt you).
Dallas defense played over their heads last week - Giants O should be able to get some things done. and Ogletree knows them, so that may help.
And, just because Dallas beat the best team in the nfl last week, does not necessarily make them the best team. Certainly doesn't make them invincible. it's about match-ups and many people, including myself, thought Dallas matched up extremely well with the Seahawks.
I'm Dallas, I'm assuming the Giants will sell out against the run early. I take my shots to Dez Bryant in the first quarter, get a lead, and then pound the Giants with the running game.
Giants have a talented DLine - those Eagle claw marks will serve as a good motivator this week. Hankins is one game smarter and Ayers has been playing well. Moore could have a really big game this week.

Yep..I expect Dallas to come out passing to set up the run.
Do you think there is any chance the offense runs more plays with two TEs instead of three WRs? Eli just seems more comfortable throwing to TEs than WRs.
Flushing Romo out and hitting him is predicated on them stopping the run. If Dallas is in 3rd and short all day this game will get out of hand.
Dallas thus far has remained committed to the run. Will that change against the Giants or keep the course.
Murray is a very good back but he is not at all like McCoy. You are always worried about the cut backs and going wide with McCoy. Murray is much more north and south
I thought the Giants had turned the corner. Now I'm not even sure who'll show up. Will it be the underdogs who've gone to Dallas in the past and put a hurtin' on the Boys? Or will they go into a shell and look for a corner to hide in?

I think ^^^^ as well. Bet on the Giants all revved up and going forward, burn the beat up secondary early, give the Giants flashbacks to last week, look to coast home.

That is looking likely. Either way, going down field erly to build a lead or even running Murray, even with Giants selling out for the run, I just don't like the matchup of Giants DL vs their great OL. It would be worthy if possible of diguising their blitzes and looks to maybe get their fron off balance somewhat. Giants just don't have enough speed on blitzes to get home on Romo or by their line.
Thinking we needed just 1 of 2 to stay within striking distance. Last weeks loss was embarrassing but it was still just one game. If we can upset the Cowboys right after the media has jumped on their bandwagon, it would be a huge boost for the Giants mentally.
The Cowboys look like a better team, and it starts at the OL. We need to play much better at the LOS today if we want to win. Our OL must rebound from last week and our DL needs to bring their A games to challenge Dallas' OL.
The Eli/Coughlin Giants have tended to be a Big Game team. But lately we've been losing big games. Last year the Cowboys eliminated us from contention and they could push us to the brink again today. We can't let the fucking Cowboys do that to us 2 years in a row. I hope our OL protects Eli and gives our offense a chance to have a Bigtime game. We need this one. Let's Go.
Go scrub my vagina or to watch figure skating instead of the game because of ths post, but i think we get shit stomped today.
I am not confident at all in Fewell after how he completely changed his formula for success against Philly last week.
The only thing that could sway me is if the D line absolutely dominates on from the beginning. Stuffing the run, hitting Romo, sacking him and forcing him to make Romoesque decisions. This is a game where i would love to see JPP lose his mind. But i just don't think we will. I think we come out fired up at first, a few big plays to Bryant, Witten and T. Williams, and then their O line starts mashing.

Agreed. The key matchup is our DL against the OL. I hope we make Bromley active this week. He might be able to provide some interior pass rush pressure. Eli is also going to have to put the team on his back and will us to victory. He's done it before, and will have to do it again.
Plain and simple. Going three games down to cowboys plus the tough remaining schedule could end it today. A wild card not likely an option this year.
Crazy thing is...they win and its a season again. How many coaches could survive two back to back seasons where the season is over by Halloween? Can this one? I seriously doubt it. Tom better have this team looking like it belongs in the NFL this week.
First: I agree with chopperhatch, don't trust Fewell
Secondly: I don't agree with those who think this is a must win. That term is used way too often and there are times it applies, but not to a game this early in the season. At 3-4 and three division games remaining at home, this is not a must win. However, I do agree with Eric that they need to be competitive
Thirdly: didn't see this posted. On Francesca this morning a surgeon gave Cruz an 80% chance of returning to his old self. Said young athletes with healthy tissue, no reason not to expect full recovery.
how did we go from a team that was on the come to a
Seahawks win is starting to look less and less impressive, however they still did on the road so give em credi. This ain't no cake walk Dallas team, they are legit.
NOT! they outright quit last week! flat? bullshit! they just quit. The offensive line needs an infusion of talent, the lb corps sux. wtf. they lead the league in intos so fing what? they are going to lose big today, and the schedule gets worse. I'm sorry, I'm just totally disgusted by Reese and Mara, and their bullshit! the o is still broken, bro! :(

I agree with you. I'm just saying it would be nice.
Best division...If we play good we can beat anyone...
our offense will get better...got to improve D...

saying how they beat the best team in football and how that amazed everyone, it would be funny to see Seattle losing again... to the Rams. Followed by the Cowboys losing to the Giants. It would make the media look kind of silly since it shows that neither the Seahawks or the Cowboys were as good as they'd been saying.

Jints 27
Pukes 26
Yep..I expect Dallas to come out passing to set up the run.
how do the giants counter this ?
the typical way is to have recievers run go routes right past the press coverage
but if OL cant protect Eli for long then we will have repeat of last week
Let's see what happens
Think team gets short term bump of energy rallying behind Cruz. Not sure how long it can last but Gmen are gonna fight

Match scores with Dallas and let's win on a late game Romo mistake/Murray fumble...

2). We don't give up any big special teams plays
3). We are within 10 points going into halftime.
Dez is a beast. I get it.
Prince will show the nfl world today that he is beast himself.
He's a damn good CB.

I don't expect a competitive game, unfortunately, forget a win.

How our new OC calls the game.
Are they the solution going forward?
Got to bELIeve!!!!!
The Cows struggled with the Texans and the Rams. They are not all that. Let them read their clippings. Time to be put in their place.

maybe dallas isnt that good. .
our d has to get to Romo. ...he will fall
then we win...
