"The Bears' pass rush is improved this season with 15 sacks so far compared to eight through the first six games a year ago, but it's becoming tougher to get to NFL quarterbacks. Sacks are down 21.4 percent overall through the first six weeks (385 sacks per STATS) compared to the first six weeks of 2013 (490).
The NFL is on pace to have 1,083 sacks, which would be the lowest figure in the last six years and well behind last year's total of 1,295. There were 5.06 sacks per game in 2013 when quarterbacks were sacked once every 14 pass attempts. It's down to 4.23 sacks per game with one every 16.71 attempts."
