Running on 1st down Stats

We ran the ball 14 times on 1st down for a total of 43 yards. Now that may not seem like all doom and gloom, however when you take notice that one of those runs was 22 yards. So take away that run, and your total is 13 times for 21 yards.

Too excessive for my liking, especially when we were down in the 2nd half and had no momentum whatsoever.

IMO. Yes, I get trying to establish the run, but sometimes you have to pass to set it up. Our pass blocking was ok, so why keep setting ourselves up in 2 and 3rd and long.

Thanks for your vote of confidence, but I don't have the experience. I can only point out very obvious things. But maybe we'll run the ball twice as much next game and then you can be twice as happy and twice as sarcastic with your remarks.

They need to use the FB more.

Hedgecock was barely in there. The one time he was in there on 4th down Williams ran very easily.
