whats the story rookie WR Washington scores 95% of WR TD's

The SCHEME : 10/19/2014 7:55 pm
and he is getting no playing time at all. There must be a reason. He scored 6 TD's in 4 games. I just do not understand why he is not in any lineup this season. Even situational plays. If someone could elaborate on that.
He's a rookie

He's raw. He scored his TDs against guys who are currently bagging groceries.

to be fair, Victor Cruz did the same thing to the Jets in the preseason and he turned out pretty good.
Don't

understand it either, especially when Ogletree, who joined the team this week, is active.

against 4th-string players in pre-season action. That's about the equivalent of Division II football. He is not ready to play.

Not until, a year later.
To be fair...

for once the redzone is NOT the problem.

is he's raw coming from division II Newberry college, he most likely has trouble getting off the line, trouble running routes and trouble getting separation against NFL quality defensive backs.

He excelled in the pre-season against players who were 3rd or 4th string and are now on practice squads - like his competition at Newberry college.

I likened him to Ramses Barden and people said there were zero similarities, but I think he'll find similar NFL challenges where he can't simply excel in this league because of his size.

maybe he works at it and can pick it up better than Barden, but the challenge I believe will be similar.

probably needs a lot of work. If we did have red zone issues, it wouldn't hurt to use Washington there for a jump ball.

he went on IR that season and missed the whole year.

So yes it was a year later, but it was also his first year available.
There are guys like this who get clamored for every few years.

Once upon a time it was Anthony Mix. There was Mike Jennings (I believe he got hurt, though).. David Douglas..

More often than not, they don't wind up making it.

I know Washington was impressive in preseason but there's probably a reason he's not getting a jersey most weeks.
