Pope influence did not make a difference for Dallas. Yea Escobar had 2 TDs, but we couldn't cover TEs anyway. I'm wondering if Pope helped give Dallas some of our idiosyncrasies though. This is another game where it looked like their defense knew the next play before it was called.

Pope never coached with Ben McAdoo.
and Flaherty has been doing his job the last few seasons?
Helped develope oline blocking and convinced
them running is winning...garret should take no
credit...he's gone...jerry will lose OC unless
he is given HC nob
utilizes TEs in an entirely different way compared to schemes that Mike Pope coached (utilization of Donnell is a great example.) The obvious question is whether Pope could have adapted. The "brain trust" evidently wanted to give McAdoo offensive position coaches - QB, RB - already schooled in the WCO. (Of course that doesn't explain KG Jr....)
(My very weak explanation is that Ben was a TE coach and that he thought he could "transmit" his ideas through a junior coach. Hey, I said it was weak!)
Has anyone actually missed his coaching here? Our TE's are doing extremely well and while I'm sure Pope would have done a good job with them, Gilbride Jr has done fine
Not about the Pope game ball but let Dallas yuk it up all they want. The choke will be even sweeter when it happens.
Jason Witten can make the HOF just on his performances against the Giants..
That was weird. Maybe somehow Fewell & Pope had their mail box swapped?

So did I. 2nd or 3rd and long and you could bet your ass it was a run with #44.
Huh? Witten always kills us.
He caught like 18 passes against us in 2012.
Quote:
Dallas' TEs haven't done squat against us prior to Pope joining the team...

and we won

Sarcasm. Dallas honoring the TE coach for TE play against the Giants seemed ridiculous given our history.

C'mon Eric. You're better than this.
