when he missed training camp and the first 4 games of the season, I assumed this would essentially be a lost year for him.
This guy seems to have grasped the offense quickly and he is making a big impact. There have been a ton of threads on here debating not taking Zack Martin, but Beckham is a weapon and I'm very glad to see him playing so well.
The bad news is bigger.
He is the No 1 WR the team needs
He didn't even get 40 yards receiving.

Asshole.
Nicks was good. Had 800 yards of receiving on like 18 ypc and led the league in YAC.
I'd say we collectively failed that test last week in Philly...some better signs today
We needed a playmaker on Offense and he looks like a good piece for the O.

Hey old fella. You're 3 hours past your bedtime. Take a nap
Eli and ODB are two things that are NOT wrong with this team.
And we should have taken either one over Beckham. He looks like a nice receiver. But given his height, he's unlikely to be that dominant #1 receiver. Martin's already playing on an all pro level, and Donald is coming on. You win on the lines.
Reuben Randle and Preston Parker would be the starting WRs.

You don't want to think of Martin on the OL instead of Jerry? I won't say receivers are a dime a dozen, but other than the top guys (Johnson, Jones, Green, Bryant, etc.), if a decent QB gets time, he can make most receivers look good.
OB is a weapon, the total package.

We don't know that he won't be a top guy in his own right. It took Dez Bryant about 3 years to break out.
Steve Smith is a freak of nature doing what he does at 5'7. But Beckham is 3-4 inches taller than Smith. It's true that he doesn't fit the prototype, but I'm not too worried that he's 5'11 and not 6'1.
Randle has all the physical size you want in a WR and we're still wondering what he does well.
I like what I see from him so far. It was funny the way he sort of "felt up" the 2 guys covering him just 2 seconds before his 2nd TD.
Just compare him to Barden. Hell, he's just about as fast as DeSean Jackson but much stronger.
Which is terrifying and awful.
I hope this is a joke. I don't think this is the case at all and it is not based on hindsight whatsoever.
It's Odell Beckham Jr - OBJ
I wont ever see it the same way as the obj folks. He will always be odb to me
Also, odb just sounds better than obj.
There was a bunch of other stupid on that thread. Calling him ODB in part because of Ol' Dirty Bastard, BBI making up the nickname ODB, etc.
What I'm surprised about with ODB more than anything is how much of a redzone target he's been. With his hands and speed you'd expect him to be more of a big play in the middle of the field type of guy. Not a 5'11 guy catching 3 TDs in 3 games. Very encouraging that he's getting open in the redzone.
