The "WEST COAST" Offense is offensive to me

JAKK777 : 10/20/2014 9:21 am
I knew eventually the teams would start stacking the box and shut it right down

Eli is not mobile enough to "Buy time" to make the WC Offense work....He's no Tony Romo, or Johnny Football, or Joe Montana
or even Arron Rogers

If you really really want the WC Offense you need to play a mobile QB- we have one right on our bench

I never thought I would say this but unless we go back to the
play action offense Eli should take a seat

Don't confuse prognostication skills with football knowledge.

I didn't claim any particular football knowledge for myself. I know more than some less than others. All I was offering was some advice. If you felt that was insulting to you, so be it, I offer no apology for that. If you choose to ignore my advice, that is your prerogative. I hope you enjoy your time on this board. Unfortunately, I don't expect that you will.
West Coast, East Coast

whatever. All I know is this getting the ball out faster resulted yesterday in short receptions. The longest one going for 17 Yards. When we got down toward looking like we might score, we had our elite QB hand off seven times to Williams who gained 11 yards on seven carries in the second half. Can't believe the play calling. Line plunge after line plunge. Even ran the ball on second and 19. Coach says we have to have balance. But Eli throwing the ball downfield is what the Giants are all about. Instead we kept running into the line. Like we didn't want to win. Just have balance.
I am actually quite happy......

with the way the offense has responded so far this year, after an incredibly slow start in preseason and the first game.

Eli has thrown five interceptions.......and the really crazy thing is three have been on crazy tips. Another on a BS throw with zero time left that he shouldn't have thrown verus AZ and simply was lazy.

So, basically he has one legit pick this year. I also remember a ball versus WASH that he threw that probably should have been intercepted. Call it two.

Actually, surprisingly, Eli seems to be doing quite well in the system. I didn't expect it to suit him, and I certainly didn't expect him to adjust to it so quickly.

Don't confuse getting whipped at the line of scrimmage for a failure in the system.

He WAS doing well til the enevitable box stacking started....he will take a hellacious pounding now

Its time to give or back up QB some playing time if you really really cannot live with out a stunted short game offense

Stacking the box has also completely shut down our Run game

Funny, Dallas never laid a hand on him yesterday. Too bad they forced the run.
Do we really have to deal with this dupe?

No....I'm really asking because it seems like dozens.

They can't afford a trailer. They spend all of their money and go into hock up to their eyeballs buying cars which they believe will give them a personality.
I guess Dallas being 9-14 on third down

into a stacked blitzing 9 man box

I will give you some advice, if you are serious about being a contributing member here, statements like this will not help you be taken seriously. It shows an obvious lack of understanding of football at even a basic level. There is nothing wrong with being a fan and having no understanding around here, people will cut you some slack if you admit your ignorance of the sport; in fact they will often help you understand more. It is when you act like you know what you are talking about when it is painfully obvious you don't that you will run into trouble around here.

Good luck, I hope that helped.

Can I have some more "advice" I somehow stumbled through the whole workday without anymore of your "guidance" LOL

Yes you can. Don't procreate.
The problem is they're forcing the issue with the running game
#10* : 10/21/2014 10:51 am : link
in Jennings absence. They're stubborn. They think any RB can do what he did and it's not true. They should have went to a quick strike pass offense which would have opened up the running game instead of the other way around.

The last two losses were on the coaches. Bad game plans on both sides of the ball. Perry's defense has gaps the size of the grand canyon & Quinn should move on after this year cause let's face it his unit(s) has never been good under him.

Very good posts on this thread. Reasonable advise and tips. Unfortunately, they were wasted on an internet troll. Too bad.

I figure there is no harm in trying.

True which speaks volumes about your character. Too bad the effort was spent on someone not worthy of it. Best
So you need
Josh in the City : 10/21/2014 1:22 pm : link
a more mobile QB for an offense that relies on getting the ball out quicker and a slower QB for an offense that relies on staying in the pocket longer? Am I understanding your hypothesis correctly?!
