NFT: Fantasy Football Discussion 10-20

dep026 : 10/20/2014 11:13 am
A shout out to Kyle Orton for possibly saving my season. Sammy Watkins was an absolute beast yesterday and now a WR2 in any league.

As for tonight. I am down 19 going in with Brown and Foster. Would be a huge upset since I played with a lot of backups this week.
Good luck

That's pretty much a lock if it's PPR
Youll win
CruzShip52 : 10/20/2014 12:05 pm : link

I would take Pit D out if I were you. Don't play a D at all. They very well could get negative points. It shouldn't matter, but anything can happen.
Tied with my opponent.
Sly Guy : 10/20/2014 12:21 pm : link
He has Foster and A. Johnson and I have A. Brown. How screwed am I?
Tre Mason is a must add
nygiants16 : 10/20/2014 12:24 pm : link
looks like he is th enumber 1 guy now in St. Louis with Stacy getting 0 touches yesterday and he was active...

Dixon looks like a nice add for a stop gap for a couple of weeks until Jackson comes back...

Denard robinson was the number 1 guy yesterday and took hold of that spot 22 carries 118 yards...
After a brutal week last week
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/20/2014 12:30 pm : link
My team absolutely killed it this week. Dez (unfortunately), Roddy, ODB, Sanders as my WRs, Shane Vereen as my RB. I'm up by 40 with LeVeon left to play and he has none.

I'm a waiver behind the guy that has been blowing Tre Mason for the past month so I know I won't be getting him. I'll probably go for Denard Robinson.
I'm up

10 with Brown and Foster and my opponent has Le'evon Bell.

With my luck this year, Bell has 4 TD's and the other two are shut out.
I just can't catch a break this year.
superspynyg : 10/20/2014 12:48 pm : link
One team is on a 5 game losing streak and it just seems like who I put on the bench goes off that week and next week with an even better match up lays an egg.
Got a question about draft kings
kelsto811 : 10/20/2014 12:49 pm : link
I am in 25th of a 3,000+ person league

I can either choose the texans d or the steelers d tonight. I currently have texans slotted. Any reason to choose otherwise?
My game is over, another W for me.
kmed : 10/20/2014 12:51 pm : link
Brady, OBJ, Tate, Hillman and Olsen all did really well. Bernard was crap and forsett was ok(played better than his production). Still have Andre Johnson tnt. Helps that my opponents team sucks.

What do you guys think Denver is gonna do with the RBs? Hillman has looked amazing and the offense is clicking with him.

I think they'll split time when Ball comes back, but they won't rush him.
I don't know, I think this is hillmans job
kmed : 10/20/2014 12:52 pm : link
to lose. He's looked really, really good.
Comes down to draft

Fred Jackson said this morning that Bryce Brown will carry the load in Buffalo. Yahoo's pumping Brown as the RB to add instead of Dixon also.
Dennard should be the pickup

Only guy I ever saw

take hits like Bernard and keep getting up was Anquan Boldin. Gio might have sucked this week but he's the toughest man in the NFL.
About to be the luckiest 6-1 team in FF history
rsjem1979 : 10/20/2014 12:58 pm : link
I'm literally 5 yards away from being 4-3, and with only a slightly more difficult schedule I could easily be 1-6.

On the plus side, I get the pleasure of cutting CJ Spiller tomorrow, and stashed Tre Mason last week so that's an immediate upgrade.

Aaron Rodgers is carrying me, and I'm in a division comprised of two lousy teams and one owner who habitually makes very poor lineup decisions.
Pj, I don't agree. Just like how ball
kmed : 10/20/2014 12:58 pm : link
didn't play last year. Moreno was more effective. I can see ball snaking some touches, but hillmans has earned the role against two good defenses.

Denard's not available in any of my leagues
Rocky Thompson : 10/20/2014 1:00 pm : link

It's Brown, Dixon, Stepfan Taylor or Cadet. I got #2 waiver priority in a 16 team league, I might just save it and play a very deep sleeper...

Definitely. I've won my league in years like this, and then in the one year I had the best team (by a mile) I lost in the championship game because Cam Newton went nuts and my team had an average week.

Objectively though, aside from Rodgers, my team stinks. I've hated it since the words "CJ Spiller" came out of my mouth at the draft.
Made it to 4-3
TheEvilLurker : 10/20/2014 1:44 pm : link
Great games by Rogers, Demariyus Thomas, OBJ will do that.

The funny thing us my team could have even scored more points, if I playedHillman and Dwayne Allen.

I lost.
I think it's Hillman's job to lose at this point
YAJ2112 : 10/20/2014 2:07 pm : link
and as I own Hillman in several leagues (including the only one I have Ball in) I'm happy about that.

Unfortunately with his past ball security issues, he's probably just a fumble or two away from opening the door back up for Ball.
Hillman on my
Mr. Nickels : 10/20/2014 2:10 pm : link
bench Randle in my flex. Lost by 5 points. Would have one. Lost to the highest scoring team would have beaten every other team by a lot. This is the second time this happened and the second time I lost with Demaryious having over 30 points...I got swept by the team who I lost to in Week 2 where he only scored 89 and beat me. Screw fantasy.
Losing by starting the wrong guy
Mr. Nickels : 10/20/2014 2:16 pm : link
AND having beaten every other team anyway is like the double whammy of fantasy heartbreak. Plus this was a must win. I can still make the playoffs if i win out or maybe lose once more but 3 teams in my division are 6-1 and 5-2 and I am now 3-4. I play 2 of them the next two weeks.

I was seriously considering Hillman too but once I lost my early lead i played it safe by going with the higher projection in Randle.
2 Leauges
HeftyLefty : 10/20/2014 2:32 pm : link
In one I am up by 16 with Houston Def and DeAndre Hopkins (.5 PPR), opponent has Big Ben

In other league I am DOWN 6.72 with withHeath Miller (.5 PPR) I need 4 catches for 48 yards to win or a td, think I get it? Would be a huge win vs. someone who had Vereen and Big Bro Manning this week.
I would need 28 from Brown tonight
UConn4523 : 10/20/2014 2:34 pm : link
150 yards and 2 scores would do it in a .5 PPR; I'm giving myself a 15% chance.

Forte and Branden Oliver.

And for my flex (we have two), which is where I messed up royally, I had Jordan Reed and Brandin Cooks instead of either Hillman, Vereen, or Beckham. Even of of those three over Cooks or Reed and I could have won.
Oh yeah
AnotherGiantsFan : 10/20/2014 2:58 pm : link
And I think I was being too polite with Montee Ball. Initially, I just thought he was a guy who wasn't worth a 1st or 2nd round look in fantasy formats. Now I just think he sucks.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt of not performing at a Moreno level because of Moreno reinventing himself and even looking good in Miami. Then I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of an OL not run blocking well for him. Now a guy steps up and immediately looks like a world beater compared to Ball.

Maybe Ball isn't a system fit. Or maybe he just sucks. Not sure yet.
It's amazing how I pick the wrong WR3 week after week.
arcarsenal : 10/20/2014 2:59 pm : link
This weeks edition was Andre Holmes who, didn't even register a catch until late in the game and got me a whopping 4 points while OBJ (18.70 pts), Kendall Wright (15.80 pts) and Allen Robinson (14.90 pts) all sat on my fucking bench.

I've had OBJ for 3 weeks now. Didn't use him against ATL in his first game because I wanted to see how they'd use him. Touchdown. Used him against Philly. 2 catches, 0 TD's. Decided to go with Holmes who had 20 targets in the 2 prior weeks and OBJ catches 2 TD passes.

Kendall Wright has scored in 3 different games this year. 2 of those 2 games (including one where he scored twice) he was on my bench.

Andre Johnson last week when he put up like 18 pts, on my bench.

It's unbelievable.

Unless Andre gets me about 20 tonight, I will lose. If I had just started OBJ over Holmes, I would have won. Can't make it up.

Ugh, I was thinking yesterday on how I would have definitely benched Vereen if I did in fact get Oliver off the waiver. Shitty situation there.

Reed over Hillman, Vereen, ODB is bad news bears though.

The good news is your team seems pretty stacked. Even though that will surely end up with you leaving points on the bench in the future.
arc, same for me re: OBJ
Andy in Halifax : 10/20/2014 3:08 pm : link
Only week I started him of the three - Philly. Thankfully Hilton and Floyd put up 10.8 points each so it wasn't devastating to my week.
I'm
pjcas18 : 10/20/2014 3:09 pm : link
1 - 6.

I have the 4th most points scored and the most points against by a lot.

After 6 weeks, the 4th place team has 730 points against I have 966. That's almost 40 points per week more. That's huge.

So besides my sit/start blunders I'm getting smoked in the points against dept.
Just found out Miller had
Mr. Nickels : 10/20/2014 3:29 pm : link
a touchdown called back due to holding. Would have won by 1 pt if that stood. Or if Sherman of KC got tackled at the 1 and charles ran it in.

I feel like every week Emmanuel Sanders draws a redzone pass interference or there is some bullshit holding call that takes it back.
Should I drop Decker
elpeces : 10/20/2014 3:56 pm : link
In a standard scoring, 10 team league, .5 PPR. Currently 5-1 with a good shot to win this week. My team:

QB - Rodgers, Luck
WR - Benjamin, Tate, Beckham Jr., Josh Gordon, Eric Decker
RB - Foster, Lacy, Jennings, Tate
TE - Dwayne Allen
Def - Houston

Can't decide if I should drop Decker for more RB depth as Tre Mason, Denard Robinson and Bryce Brown are all available. Should I pick one of the RB's up? Which one? Who to drop? Thanks.

I'd drop Decker for Mason out of those. Don't think you need the other 2 given that they may not have their jobs for long.
I would
