How do you guys think he did in his first real action in a big game? I really like how physical he plays. He missed a tackle on Murray but I think hes going to be a really good player for us.
played with half the intensity this kid does. I was beyond pissed on one of Murrays runs where JWill basically let him gain another 6 yards because he didnt feel like hitting Murray on the sideline. Williams is a talented kid but I hate his inconsistent effort.
That's no excuse he had Murray on the sideline... all he had to do was put a decent hit on him and he doesnt get the extra 6-7 yards. He hits when he feels like hitting thats the problem.
Wish he didn't miss all of training camp and presesason.
I meant it more in term of his run defense. I see him just try and drag guys down and let them get extra yardage because he doesn't seem to be trying. I don't know maybe I'm wrong. In coverage its hard to have an issue with him.
Is not playing like Luke Kuecly in his first year, sorry that sometimes you have to be allowed to develop before you see what you have, around here you have to great day 1 or the questions arise
he is listed at 224 lbs. If he is only 215,as has been stated, then turn him into a Safety.
Linebackers should play like Linebackers against the run as well as against the pass.
When a hefty, fast running back has built up a head of steam it is difficult for a lightweight to stop him.
If any player doesn't know how to tackle, then hand him a water bottle and park him on the sideline.
as I was happy to see them finally put in one of the young deserving players.
I thought he did very well for his first game with significant snaps.
He was able to locate where the play was going, get through his blockers, and in general make plays. Yes he had one or two cases of poor tackling, on what would have been huge losses. But I was impressed overall. He and McClain were the only bright spots at that position last night.
Has he ever sniffed an interception? His coverage skills are greatly exaggerated....
LOL, he leads the Giants front seven in tackles, yes not just the linebackers but the entire front seven. The most solo tackles. The only embarrassing part is that he gets absolutely no help on the left side and still tries to help out the middle and right side.
Kiwi has 18 tackles to his 51 and most of Kiwi tackles are assisted. There are some guys just cashing a check on this team. Williams isn't one of those guys.
I dont see why we cant blitz....Banks said
fewell doesnt know how...even before injuries
he still used his weird zone look...against
lions... o man...guys lookin to next guy to
tackle ....this d sucks

Will never be Ray Lewis but this is his first year starting, can he be more physical for sure but he is not the reason we lost last night. Kennard could be out of position he appears to be a MLB in every physical aspect of his game. In time a Williams, McClain and Kennard starting team could be very good for us. Beason looks like someone who needs to be IR but will last until maybe week 12 then get IR at this rate.

Will never be Ray Lewis and this is his first year starting, could he be more physical for sure. He seems to always allow the runner to come to him he does not tackle thru the runner but he does make the tackles. Kennard in all physical aspect seems to be a MLB being used at WLB in our defense. He will get better and maybe bring some physical dominance to this defense. McClain has done well but he could be much better if they stop moving him around due to Beason. Beason looks like another injured player we will keep on the roster for 10-12 plus weeks then IR at this rate.

But he looks the part and when he hits someone, they feel it.
I don't think it's intensity holding back J-Wil, I think it's his size.
He's a LB in a safety's body.
Williams is so inconsistent from play to play...very frustrating watching him play.At times he flashes big time ability.

Kind of a theme with this team. Lots of potential and flashes but nothing consistent.
Yea and one was a 3rd and long where he ran 10 yards and turned around and sat there while 2 giants stared at him. Total horseshit.

I wasn't excusing anything.
