I read that Ian Rappaport is saying the Bucs are open to trading him and they've gotten a ton of calls. While I normally am not open to giving up draft picks (since we need them to fill other holes with the O-line, etc), he wouldn't be a bad pickup to help in the passing game with Cruz gone, provided he could be had for a low round pick anyway.
If you would do the trade, what would it take for you? 4th? 6th? I'd probably day no higher than a 5th personally. But he would be a nice veteran presence.
But the question is, can he block?
I thought hes owed like 9.5 next year
It doesn't make a lot of sense to me and I would bet my bottom dollar it doesn't make a lot of sense to the people that are going to make such a decision for the ball club.
We certainly have holes to fill but I think the team has shown it can play and I don't think we are too far away from getting over the hump so to speak.
Lastly, I don't believe this trade would ever happen, was just purely a hypothetical since the Bucs seem to be actively listening to trade offers.
We'll be lucky to finish 7-9 with him, and we're expected to give up a couple of valued rebuilding picks?
No thanks. I'll take my 5-11 season and some high picks to go with a new coaching staff and some FO changes.
Boldin is 34. Andre Johnson is 33. Jackson is the same build as those two guys. No reason he can't play 3 or 4 more years.
The Rams released Austin Pettis. He isnt a game changer but he's not a bad player. He lost out in the numbers game since the Rams have a bunch of slot WRs and need to get Austin and Stedman Bailey more touches. Pettis can challenge current roster retreads at slot and keep Beckham and RR at X and Z.
