Giants working out quite a few players today

Now that would be something. Giants were going to sign Jones right before the draft if they didn't use a pick on a RB.

Giants probably looking for someone who can emulate Wilson and Kapernick in practice.

can he? Is he done at this point? He was never all that impressive but someone who would be decidedly average at everything would be a huge upgrade at the position right now.

Moeaki and Pryor are interesting ones.

It sucks for guys like Pryor that he can't find a team willing to take him on. He was exciting to watch. If the NFL had expanded rosters (for example a gameday roster of 55) guys like Pryor could be developed into a different position or see time in certain packages/plays.

There's nothing better put there at RB & TE than Green, Jones, & Moeaki. Hopefully they have a safety or 2 or 8 in for tryouts. Brown and Demps have been useless. I wish they'd start to implement Berhe. Other than Rolle, our safety play has been abysmal. The Taylor injury killed us at safety. What happened to Lynch? I heard he was in for a tryout a few weeks ago. He must not have looked good at all not to get a call back with this horrendous lot we have at S.

LaMichael James is could be an answer too. He has speed, plus is on Miamis Practice Squad.

Not sure yet if Terrelle Pryor's workout with Giants today is strictly as a QB or another position like WR. Just pointing out possibility.

If he's running 4.4, that's a weapon I'd love to see on this team as a WR or TE.

Is a team allowed to work out a player on another team's practice squad? It sounds crazy but I thought I remember that it is allowed in the rules.

I know a team can sign a player from another team's practice squad.

I don't think you can work out a player on another team's practice squad. Normally they'd be practicing with their team and unavailable for a workout anyway.

I believe he's more of a receiver. Not real big at 6-3. Hasn't been healthy in 2 years.

That makes no sense at all

working out Pryor as a QB.

I wonder if, historically during the bye week when the giants try out players, if they always try out a qb to hand the ball off, throw passes etc. usually with little to no intention of signing him.

They have said before that they use these workouts not just to fill needs but also get a closer look at guys they've had interest in so that the pro personnel dept can update their info.

for contingency purposes...if someone gets hurt. We work out guys every Tuesday.

Maybe we try out a position we need. ...why not bring in

10 on the team and Schwartz coming back after bye. Only 7 active each and every game day.

Just from a numbers standpoint we could use another WR, LB, S.
