I searched for threads mentioning this guy and did a Google search and found nothing on both. I presume he has been inactive most weeks. Have there been any reports/tweets from the beat writers on how he's doing in practice. Is he injured? If he's healthy I presume if C Jenkins is hurt Bromley will get to play.
I ask because there's a lot of discussion about picks our GM could have made and a head scrathing 3rd rd pick like this guy hopefully is doing something to justify his selection over the other productive players not chosen.
Bromley is being treated just as Joseph and Cofield were in their rookie year. It doesn't say much of anything about him as a prospect, going forward.
Bromley was drafted to eventually replace Jenkins and/or Patterson.
Bromley can get to qb and stop run..
3rd rounds needs to play

He will play... When he's ready. See:
Hankins, Jonathan
Joseph, Linval
etc
Incredible insight, thanks!
Blown off his position?
I had to check to make sure Bromley was still on the roster
In week 1 they activated only 3 DTs and in week 2 he was active and played a decent amount (made a nice tackle). Kuhn was healthy for week 3 and has played since so Bromley has not played since.
It has nothing to do with his ability or being injured or not being ready, etc. There are guys ahead of him and you can't dress everyone on gameday.
Hankins was inactive for 5 games last year and he was a 2nd round pick...

Just because he's a 3rd round pick, he's not guaranteed playing time. What is this, high school?
He's not better than the 4 healthy guys they have right now. And that's not some admission of a failed draft pick or some such nonsense. You can't cry about lack of roster depth on one hand, then complain that there's no snaps for a rookie on the other. Pick one.
I know the Giants way with dts.... But good lord we can't get a push up front can we pls not play a guy wgo has no hope of qb pressure. Kuhn is not a good player.... So don't play him over a dt that can generate a much needed dt pass rush.
In any event, with the Jenkins injury, Bromley will get a jersey against IND so he'll get a shot.

Had high hopes for this guy, third rounder, but there he is -- inactive. Fair to give him a year to be ready, but I had something like high hopes for Herman, too, and there he is in year two, on the PS. Bottom line: Bromley might become an NFL player, but might not, too. He doesn't seem to be viewed now as better than Kuhn -- and that's a very low grade.

Again. Hankins was a 2nd rounder and so was Joseph. Both spent their time inactive on Sundays as rookies. I don't know why people continually fail to realize this. Joseph was inactive 10 of 16 weeks his rookie year. Hankins was inactive for 5. Bromley is going to get his chance now but him not dressing early in the year says nothing about him as a player.

This..Not sure why people continue to refuse to "get it."

Nobody remembers anything. There are no lessons learned by watching the games or considering cause and effect.
Not if you believe his coach. If you listen to the radio broadcasts, you hear Banks over and over again calling out players for abandoning their assignments; never hear Kuhn's name in that context. Some folks just want to see more penetration and sacks from the interior DL. Kuhn hasn't flashed, but he hasn't sucked either.
